in recent weeks, pizzo has taken some heat over his play calling. but from my viewpoint, i think pizzo called an excellent game today, especially in the red zone. both running backs had some success today running the ball. that means the "big uglies" up front was getting the job done today.
by the way, who is the play by play guy who calls our games on aggie access? i think he does a pretty good job. i think he could be an excellent play by play guy for our aggie football radio broadcasting crew...

Hell of a game! We played excellent football on both sides today. Heavy dose of the running game and only passed when we had to. 2 defensive scores. It dont get much better than that.
I'm so proud of those guys for getting that first MEAC win in. They needed and deserved it badly.

Funny what happens when you commit to running the ball.
Our struggles on offense have never been about poor offensive line play; it has always been about how much we ourselves were committed to establishing the run and getting our best back involved early and often.

Great win. Zack rebounded with a nice game. Ricky Lewis had a breakout game. Let's keep it going.

Great, great win! I think we now have our chemistry "situation" taken care of. The O line has always blocked well for Mayhew when we commit to give it to him on a regular, that had been missing in previous games. Nice change of pace with Rickey Lewis and the O line kept up the pace. Kindle did not turn the ball over. Pizzo got it this game let's hope he stays consistent. He had me worried on our 2nd possession when we went 3 and out (3 passes in a row after we went down and scored by rushing the ball on our 1st possession). #45 D. Moore got more play at fullback in this game than any previous games (he works well w/Mayhew). Good job offense.
D'Vonte Graham is just a monster/playmaker supreme. Best cover we have/return man/ball hawk. I was surprise they took the "bait" and tried to go to his side of the field. The defense stiffened on several Buffalo drives and played an outstanding game. Good job defense.
We did have one blocked punt but special teams was good too.
Coaches did an excellent job in preparation and adjustments.

That was a helluva game.We dominated them in every phase of the game! Offense had it rolling,Special teams played well & Defense was outstanding. Mayhew played like Mayhew, Ricky Lewis did his thing & Kindle didnt turn the ball over!.
But D'Vonte Graham was the best defensive player on the field today for both teams.Keith Pough is an helluva player for HU but D'Vonte Graham was the best one out there today. They must have threw his way 9 or 10 times but none of them resulted in completions! That boy is a beast!

This was definitely a good win.
I'm still concerned with Lewis Kindle's passing. He short-hopped a few balls today. There were some plays where it looked as if Kindle didn't want to pass for fear he'd throw an INT.
Don't get me wrong - ZERO TURNOVERS always keep you in any game. However I see future MEAC opponents stacking the line like crazy, daring Kindle to throw. I want him to be ready to make that critical pass when the time comes.
This was a team victory today - this game reminded me of the BCU game last year where we physically imposed our will. We really looked ready to play today. As I said before, the key word for me is IMPROVEMENT. I want to see the team getting better with each game. Hopefully we can keep this going...

The O-LINE made the difference . When the line is clinking all things are possible..lol Good win guys. Totally agree. It's all about the offensive line play. Both Mayhew and Ricky Lewis averaged over 6 ypc. It makes all the difference in the world when we can run the ball.

Hopefully, the four injured linemen (three OL & one DL) will be ready for play this week. Can't afford to lose them for an extended period of time.

I was really impressed with our play on both sides of the ball. Defense was great, kicking and returns on special teams made big plays. The hard running by Mayhew, Lewis and Kindle was outstanding. But we sent the biggest messege, by receiving the ball first, and putting it into the end zone using less than 3 minutes (much better than 3 and out like they (HoU) expected).
