Here's my last example...BCU, last season, on paper was supposed to thrash us. We had no chance of winning...until we took the field. In all honesty...I'm pretty sure they will pose match-up problems for us, but we should pose the same issue for them as well. Thus, it should be a great game to watch...unless we are not prepared and I have a hard time believing that will be the case.

The good news is we've seen their QB before so we should be a little better prepared for him. The bad news is he's got another year of experience so he will be a tougher out. I've heard we have some decent DB's so this will be fun to watch.
I think this may be a slug fest from start to finish.

As long as we don't go in intimidated, we will be fine...

The problem is we beat BCU by preparing and having a ton of film study. We knew where they were going to be before they got there. We don't have that luxury this time around, unless we have some spies down there. More than anything we have to keep them from getting out in front of us. Two scores and I don't think we're coming back. Methinks they are just going to stack the line and dare us to run (and probably stop us from running). We'll have to hit passes on them for big gains to back them up. Likewise, I assume we will stack the line and try to stop them from running. I don't think they'll be too worried about running with a senior qb with decent receivers and decent accuracy. He had a career day against us last year just one week after they were kicked to sleep by UGA. I don't think their head coach's inexperience makes that much of a difference, considering his staff. Good mix of youth and experience there. If it's a close game late, then it might be a problem.

ohsixrain just hit the nail on the head. I dont think last years game between us and Costal or the App game was any indication as to how we will perform against competion outside of the hbcu ranks because we were simply just out manned....last year with 35 schoolys and and a new Coach.
I remember a few of Broadway's GSU teams playing pretty good ball against LSU Monroe and University of New Mexico but I am sure Costal is not as strong as those lower FBS opponents.
I guess I dont have and opinon either way but at least mind-set wise as a Coach would you approach playing a Costal different than playing a very very good Bethune team ?

Their starting qb transfered in from South Carolina a few years ago. He was the guy that lit us up last year. Right on brutha, right on (Shaft/Issac Hayes)!!!! You are correct about their QB this will be his 3rd and final year after transferring from South Carolina. Gotta give him attention because he did burn us last year. For the season he threw on an average of 20 passes per game, completing 66% w/14 TD and 5 INT. It's gon b real interesting watching (#21--D'Vonte Graham) when they come on his island!!!! D'Vonte "Little Darrell Green/Ed Reed" Graham is a total MONSTER!!! If we come out the box with the DOGGS.....it will be on and popping like Magic Johnson's Theatre popcorn!!! ;D

We have too many horses in our secondary for the QB to have ample time to throw. I honestly we will have two shut down corners and a FS that will be able to cover the deep seams.
Barring injury, our Defense will be able to keep this game close from beginning to end. The question will be whether or not Kindle and the WR's will be able to keep the CCU defense honest?
My early prediction will be that our Secondary will have to cause a few turnovers and possibly a Pick-6 as well as a special teams TD to help out in SC.

I think we can beat these guys but it will take a supreme effort. In last seasons game I think we pretty much played them evenly in the second half. It was the second quarter where the game got away from us.
