I was looking at WFMY News 2 on Saturday and they did a segment on WSSU's Fan Day. They interviewed the coach, some of the players and they showed the band at 6p and at 11p but nothing on A&T's Fan Day. I actually did not see any news crews out at the Fan Day. Whats up with that? Do we not have public relation people that can inform these stations that we have an event going on on campus? This does not make sence to me!! Oh well, Same-O Same-O!!

News 2 ever covers us well but, they are always at Elon or other schools since, the head sports anchor is when to Elon. They do Dudley High the same way just like this past Friday with no highlights with their new stadium.

Thanks for the great pictures. Fellas, every year I complain to the media about the lack of coverage of HBCU sporting events. I've just concluded that the local media just doesn't care that we are not happy with the lack of coverage. The majority of their audiance is white and either attended or supports the ACC and the Southern Conference. Their reporters and sports staff are the same. The only way we will get any coverage will be to start a fight in the stands or have a shooting during the game. Then every news crew in a 4 state area will be on campus showing the event. You would think that some of those good old boys would realize that we play good sports too.

You won't see decent local coverage until the records get well on the other side of .500 and stays there on any of the money sports. When that happens then track, baseball, volleyball and the rest will see some light of day but until then don't hold your breath.
