Aggies Football Is Seeing Red Courtesy: NC A&T Sports Information Release: 08/07/2012 Courtesy: NC A&T Sports Information GREENSBORO - There are a lot of red jerseys at the North Carolina A&T football practices, lately. No, the Aggies haven't converted into S.C. State Bulldogs or Delaware State Hornets. Red jerseys are worn by A&T quarterbacks at practice to signal "stop" to the other players before tackling a QB. There were many times a year ago when Lewis Kindle was the only guy in red when it came to quarterbacks at an A&T practice. The scene has been very different so far in 2012. Quarterbacks coach Joe Pizzo and Kindle have more company this August during workouts. The Aggies added three new quarterbacks during the offseason. The additional bodies at quarterback are symbolic of the entire A&T football team. Instead of having a paltry 33 scholarships, the Aggies opened camp with 92 players. There is more depth at every position, which really has head Rod Broadway optimistic about the 2012 season. "We'll see after camp where we stack up as far as depth is concerned," said Broadway. "We're excited about having our scholarships back and being able to have some young guys in here. Hopefully, those guys we'll develop and not only provide depth, but hopefully some of them can play for us right away." This is the first I can remember Broadway speaking so highly of Lewis. Normally yea he's ok but need this or that to work on. I am shock to hear him say those words about him.
Also it is so refreshing to have three legit qb who can step in and continue the play. I have never understand why the previous could not get some legit qb(s) here at A&T.

How did the A and T vs. Coastal ticket sales go? Did they sell out? I heard we only had 300 to sell so I thought they would go quick. With the band taking 230 members and a few hundred Aggies in the stands, the football team should feel better.

I heard the A&T Ticket Office wasn't expecting to get but 300 tickets. Now I don't know how many they actually got but I do know it wasn't going to be many. Coastal Carolina several weeks ago was trying to limit the number of tickets to just the A&T band. I guess when you can only seat 8,000 fans, you don't want to give away 230 to your opponent's band.

They don't seem to have a problem taking those phone orders from either Myrtle Beach or Greensboro. If you call their ticket office, they will sell them to you and won't blink twice. I brought my own tickets and booked our own room. It was a lot cheaper for me to go that route than the package deal.
Besides I prefer having my own transportation when I'm out of town and within a reasonable driving distance.
