www.wralsportsfan.com/colleges/story/11344255/Durham, N.C. — Two months after his arrest for assault on a female, Henry Frazier was reinstated Monday to his position as head football coach at North Carolina Central University. Police were called to Frazier's home May 14. His wife, Lanier Turner-Frazier, told police the couple was arguing when he grabbed her leaving marks on her upper arms and pushed her face, breaking her glasses. NCCU put Frazier on paid leave pending the outcome of the criminal case. On Monday, the school issued a statement, saying, "The legal matter involving Coach Frazier has been resolved." NCCU Chancellor Charlie Nelms and Director of Athletics Ingrid Wicker-McCree both expressed confidence in Frazier's ability to lead the team and uphold the university's values. Frazier took over North Carolina Central's football program in December 2010 after stepping down from the same position at Prairie View A&M

Good, while I did have jokes(and probably still will) I hate to see a brother go down like that. Just let him go down by way of Broadway when we continue to spank that tail every year.

It's good that the brother didn't lose his job over this non-sense. If you're gonna get fired...get fired for not doing a good job. Oops he's already doing that...let me try again, if you're gonna get fired, get fired for lying on your resume or something. Now, he needs to learn how to behave himself.

What does deferred prosecution for one year mean? Will he be completely cleared of the charge ?

deferred "normally" means that if he stays clean for a year then nothing will happen. If he doesn't then he will get prosecuted for this one and what happens that brought it back up.

He made a plea deal with the prosecution: Court records show Frazier is participating in an abuse treatment program in exchange for a dismissed charge. Also court records says he cannot have any contact with his wife what so ever during this process. Here is the video abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=news/local&id=8746107DURHAM (WTVD) -- North Carolina Central University's head football coach has been reinstated following a domestic assault charge. Henry Frazier was put on paid leave after his May arrest. He was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female after a heated argument with his wife. As of Monday, the university reinstated Frazier, and he expects to be practicing with the team as early as this week. Related Content Story: NCCU football coach arrested "When a university hires a football coach, they hire his entire family. In a million years, I would've never thought this would happen to me or my family," said Frazier. "I'd like to formally apologize to my family, the university and its supporters." Court records show Frazier is participating in an abuse treatment program in exchange for a dismissed charge.

Okay, now that he's back as coach, NCCU will have no excuse for the beat down we will give them later in the season.

Lesson 1: always have very good representation/lawyer when you go to court.
Lesson 2: it is 'must" to have money and good credit to obtain a very good lawyer.
Lesson 3: Women should never use the police to settle hurt feelings. Doing so could cause much more harm to the family. If Fraizer had actually beaten his wife or struck her with his hand, he wouldn't have gotten this sweetheart deal.

The record also shows he entered a guilty plea in order to receive the deferred prosecution agreement with the DA office as required under G.S.9-96. No priors. Its pretty common place in the court system to get one of these unless there is an serious enough injury requiring hospitalization or a weapon was involved. Most first year criminal attorneys can work that deal.
Hold up there one minute. . He tried to pray and put "anointed" oil on her forehead in the middle of heated argument resulting ultimately in a charge of domestic assault and his arrest? I mean really.
I wouldn't jump on that Lesson #3 bandwagon quite so easily on this one jazz. He better be looking for a good divorce attorney because he's about to be taken o the cleaners very shortly.
