Hey school (bru from the DMV), I was going to Chuck Brown's funeral today and saw the line and I turned back. Some peeps had camped out since last nite to try and get in. I did, however, go to the viewing on Tues. **Did get a glimpse of Tom Joyner, Chris Rock, Mike Epps, and Ledisi going in today.....brother man (me) is gittin old cause these ole bunions wudn't hold up in the heat so I had to catch the Metro and ride in air!!-

So, I guess now they will have the Javelin, discus and the hammer throw all on the practice field. Would'nt this cause more damage to the practice field and put players at risk of injuries?

The Hammer is the main one that damages a field.

Same here, makes no sense to do the when you can just do the main field and be done with it. On a side note, I saw the Durham County Stadium renovation for the first time up close Saturday. A&T needs to hire whomever did their field. They did the field and track there. We would just need the field. the reason i'd suggest putting artificial turf on the practice field is because i believe (if i'm not mistaken) we've been told that the aggie stadium field has an underground drainage/irrigation system that would be deemed "useless" if we installed an artificial surface. if true, whatever we paid for that system would go down the drain (no pun intended) if we purchased field turf... The new Artificial Field Turf can use the old drainage system ! But we will lose the irrigation feed.

Its for the javelin area.. thanks, 4xl. do you know if the aggie stadium football field has an underground drainage system or not? Yes, one of the best around. Its so good that if and when they convert to turf, it won't have to be replaced.
