I'm just looking over the stats and the play by play from Saturday's game and it looks like our defense really came to play.
Everybody said Chris Gibson was going to tear us apart but I had a feeling we would be able to slow him down.
Big Rob made an immediate impact in his first game as an Aggie with six tackles and a fumble recovery. Andre "The Mighty Thor" Thornton continued his steady play at the mike spot with five tackles, Joe Taylor had six, and Ruffin had a team-leading 9 tackles .
Even last week's whipping boy Inshan Shaheed bounced back and recorded a second-half interception.
All in all, it was very strong showing for Coach Deke and the boys.

Woulda' been a totally differing game if A&T didn't botch those punts thrilla.
The defense limited our now unreliable run offense (our strength) and limited the PV offense to only 1 TD.
If that's not encouraging, I don't know what is. Hopefully A&T will pull it together by this upcoming Sat vs Hampton.
A&T by 7 or less.

I HAVE NOT READ THE STATS YET.. BUT MY NEPHEW SAID IT WAS NOT TO GOOD. BIG ROB SAID HE PLAYED TERRIBLE.. HE SAID HE WAS A BIT SLOW OUT THERE. BUT HE HOPES THAT THEY CAN GET HOME EARLY TODAY AND GET TO PRACTICE. HE SAID HE CAN PLAY A LOT BETTER. I JUST HOPE THAT THE B.D. FAMILY ENJOYS HIS PLAY. HE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAYING IN FRONT OF THE HOME CROWD...

That ain't what I heard. I heard he caused a fumble and made around six tackles.
He's a game behind everybody else. He shouldn't be too hard on himself. Just play and stay disciplined.

Big Rob ("Old Miss" as some of the kids call him) I think played well considering his situation. I know he came out of the game one time limping and was helped off of the field. From what I saw of him I believe he is going to be good once he gets into playing shape, considering how long he was held out of practice.

Adams has done a good job with transfroming the defense into a real asset that will keep us in games and they played better this week than last week by getting to the QB some and with the pass defense.
It now about quarterback and special teams play. the offensive line was good enough to average 4 yards a pop on Saturday so that is coming around. We have be smarter and eliminate dumb mental mistakes and forced and unforced turnovers in the kicking game.

Blue Death was raising hell out there! They were sticking really hard and going for the ball. It showed that they are really in good physical condition, because they had to be on the field quite a bit. If the "O" can get there stuff together, somebody's gonna take a really bad AW.

I think I am becoming a football analyst, even a better football analyst than Doom. ;D Honestly, I saw the Prairie View vs Texas Southern game last Saturday night and I saw two teams that were not better than WSSU. I just knew if A&T were more physical and didn't turn the ball over that they could win the Prairie View game. The defense came through and I heard good things about Russell.
This Hampton game will be a learning experience for this defense. If the Aggie defense is caught out of place in this game, Hampton will make them pay. Russell will have to be the leader this week to help his fellow defenders stay in their right place Russell has the experience to recognize the different offensive sets that Hampton will throw at A&T.
