Dooms for the most part you right we have improve tremendously. But we still only as good as our QB. Fergusen can have 200 yard but if we have a QB who cannot find a way to get that ball in the end zone we can possible still be 0-11 this year. Only because the MEAC teams are stronger.
Think of it this way. With the big play mistakes we made in WSSU and Prare VIEW. Who can we play like that and still win the game.
Right now I think we are a good Division2 team who would be in the middle of the CIAA standings.
I don't want to be negative but guys we have to be realistic about team right now.
By the way did Russel(LB) play in that game?

I just got back from LA. I was in the bar at the Westin last night and ran into one of the A&T managers (at least he had the shirt on) and he said that Chancellor dislocated his shoulder and Miller hurt the same leg he just rehabed (sp?).
Looks like Miller is out for the season

I feel real bad for Herb. He might need to let the game go. No need to risk walking with a cane when you're thirty. He could get a head start on a coaching career during undergrad.

Encouraging loss, is that like a moral victory?
There were some bright spots, we can run the ball, this team has a little heart (they could have given up after the second punt block), Morgan at QB isn't a bad thing (I don’t see happy feet and he definitely has a better touch) , play calling better (or maybe it was execution), the defense starting to believe in themselves.
Those block punts are a perfect example why you can't have a head coach doing three, four or five jobs. His job should be to manage the details and allocated resources accordingly. How does the same guy block two punts for touchdowns?
This was a winnable game and the team showed improvement from the previous week and that is encouraging, but we aren’t going to be in many 7-9 games. This offense needs score points, not launch ball over the QB’s head, or jump offsides when we get in the RedZone.

Our play in this game was encouraging but we made a lot of mental mistakes. We had I believe, 4 personal fouls which were not necessary. We had drive killing penalties that really hurt us, even had a TD called back because of a penalty. Near the end of the game I never saw a sence of urgency. Even after the game back at the hotel, a lot of the players were laughing and playing around as if they had won the game. Herb got hurt because he would not slide. He ran every time as if he were a RB going for extra yards. Some say that Herb's career is over. That's sad!! On another note, the Band was really good. Even some of the PV fans stated that. The staff at the hotel where we were staying stated that all the kids were very well behaved. I was told that the promoters of this game were very unorganized. A&T people were very frustrated with a lot of the things that happened. The biggest frustrating thing is that the band and the team is still in LA. They went to the airport early yesterday morning just to find out that there was no plane for them to fly home. They had to find a hotel for all the kids to stay until they could get them a plane to leave some times this morning. I was told they had a plane for PV. I also heard that the football and band staff were very pissed off. We have to stop dealing with these "bull$h*t" promoters. I believe that the Circle City people are the only ones that know how to do a classic the right way.

Hopefully they'll get the kinks worked out BigBoy. It's just the 2nd game they've attempted to pull together. Sorry A&T had to endure the plane fiasco. Hopefully next year will be better. Glad to see that A&T is improving every single week. You guys will be very proud soon, I'm sure. Lastly, DO NOT be surprised if the EXACT same 2 teams are invited BACK to L.A. again next year @ or around the same time (barring a USC local game). You heard it here first.

It may be a blessing in disguise that Morgan was put in that situation. He is more of a pure passer than Herb. Had Chaz or Curtis Walls (I'm not sure) continued his route instead of turning around and stopping, it would have been 6 more through the compliments of a bomb. He clearly had his man beat by a mile. And that TD pass he threw to Giorgio was sweet. With a full week of reps, he may be what we've been looking for in a QB. And I concede! You're right, cause I saw a boat load of talent on that field Saturday. They just need some good coaching and they will be tearing down the walls.

Herb got hurt because he would not slide. He ran every time as if he were a RB going for extra yards. Some say that Herb's career is over. That's sad!! I don't know why Herb thinks he's a running back. I thought he had learned how to slide, but that is what got him hurt. He tries to go in the crowd standing up. As soon as he went down, I knew it was same knee he hurt before!

I was at the game I was really sad to see Herb get hurt. I hope this injury does cause long term helath issues
Now .....no disrepect to Herb, but I think Morgan is decent QB. You could see the nerves early in the game, but once he settled down he looked good. He is definetly a better passer I think he will be fine after he a chance to really play and learn the offense. He does not appear to be the same type of QB as Herb,
I thought the running game looked good they just need to come up with some play to take of advantage of skills we have. A ggod running game will make the QBs job a lot easier
BTW My wife and I had a 15 to 20 conversation will the ...creator/ mastermind behind this classic at the airport. He seemd like as nice guy I'm sorry to hear about the screwup at the airport

DC hurt his shoulder. He was in surgery Saturday nite. One coach was left in LA with him.
