GREENSBORO, December 15, 2011 - Four Aggie senior football players are ready to compete at this Sunday's HBCU All Star Bowl at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. Wide receiver Wallace Miles, defensive back Justin Ferrell and offensive linemen Brent Walker and Alex Harper will get an opportunity to play in front of NFL scouts. The game starts at 2:30 p.m., on Dec. 18. Fans have two options to listen to the game. Herb FM Radio will have an internet radio broadcast. Click here to get the link. Classic Sports Radio will also have a live internet broadcast, and fans can click here for the link. Miles (6-1, 193, Atlanta, Ga.) comes into the game after putting together one of the best seasons of any receiver in school history. He is the only Aggie to lead the team in receiving all four years, and in 2011, he became the school's first single-season 1,000-yard receiver. The second-team All-MEAC performer led the MEAC in receptions and receiving yards. Miles also broke the Aggies' single-season record for receptions with 70. www.ncataggies.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=24500&ATCLID=205348113

Congratulations to all the players selected especially the Aggie players. This is the first time I've ever heard of this game. Man am I glad to be on this site. Is it just me or do they try to keep these types of events secret? Unfortunately, I already have a committment this Sunday but had I heard about this earlier, I would be in the dome with my Aggie Gold on. Thanks for the broadcast link. I will try to catch some of the game.

Looks like Walker and Harper participated, but Miles and Ferrell dont even show up in the participation list. That might explain why they have no stats. Wonder if they just chose not to go?

Yeah, I saw where Miles did not make a reception and I was wondering what happened. But how can you afford not to show up if you are trying to go to the next level? ? Does anybody know the deal???

Not all players look forward to playing at that so called next level. That maybe the case for Miles!!! As the NCAA would put it (We have players going pro in other things then just sports).

Went to the game!
All played well. Although they didn't show up in the stats, they all looked very good and competing. Miles didn't really have a pass thrown his way. The two lineman played together and looked very good blocking. The most impressive was Ferrell. He didn't let a receiver catch a pass except for maybe a five yard down and out. Every time the west QB tried to throw deep, Ferrell was there to prevent the catch.
I see him really making an impact in the combines.

Gator.....thanks for the info!
Looks like OL Walker and Harper had good games
DB Ferrell has a chance to make it at next level. Great speed, gritty competitor, and awareness, great KO return skills. Ferrell is listed at 5'10" but is actually 5'8" but look at ex- Redskin great Darrell Green (5'8" also).
Miles is a sleeper that I hope does not get overlooked......like he has through college (walk-on, 2nd team selection all- MEAC---how you gonna lead the conference in receiving and be selected to 2nd team??). He is listed at 6'1" but is actually 5'11" and does not have great speed. Remember Jerry Rice had 4.6-4.7 speed coming out of college.
saab........you are spot on. I don't know much about the other 3 but Wallace Miles is a engineering major so it maybe safe to say he will be ok regardless!

Damn, Wallace is 5'11? He plays bigger than that.
Thanks for the info Gator. Goes to show that even in an HBCU All-star game black people still cant get it right. They didn't even list Ferrel nor Miles as participants.

i personally would like to "thank" all 4 of these seniors for their dedication and commitment to our beloved alma mater. i am happy for them that they were able to at least experience a reasonable level of success while playing football at a&t this year.
they could've very easily took the high road and transferred some place else. but they remained loyal and helped lay the foundation for what i hope history will show to be the turning point of aggie football. i think the best way to thank these young men is by the football team building upon the foundation they laid and taking it to the next level and keeping it there.
hopefully, one day these guys will be able to look back and say that they laid the foundation for what hopefully will become a consistent championship caliber football program. good luck to all 4 seniors as they move onto the real world and thank you for your sincere loyalty...

The Senior Bowl in Montgomery, AL on Chrfistmas Day is the big ticket along with the paid invitation to the NFL combines in Indy and New Orleans.
