Winston Salem jumped out to a 35-14 lead then had to overcome three of their own second half turnovers with a solid quarter of stingy defense to hold off California University (PA) 35-28 at Bowman Gray Stadium this afternoon.
Next Saturday the Rams (12-0) play host to New Haven (Conn)(12-0) in a matchup of two Top Five D-II teams and two number one regional seeds at 1:30 at Bowman Gray.

Good for WSSU for representing. But unforunately NSU got blown out in the first round. Once again the MEAC shows that it's teams can't advance.
Just being truthful!

NSU lost the the battle up front right away and then penalized themselves right of the ball game in the first quarter. Yep, until the MEAC teams get a lot stronger between the tackles and learn how to play disciplined football, things won't change anytime soon.

I hate for this to get out (from a Die-Hard Aggie) but I'd like to see WSSU's next game. I want them to keep winning so when they come to Greensboro the next time they will not have an excuse for the butt whipping we put on them. Has anyone heard if WSSU will be back on our schedule next year? I know they want a piece of us in the worst way. This could be a real grudge match the next time we play them.

I know their coach is an Aggie Alum and I'm glad for him every day of the year except...the day they play us. Then he's a Ram and needs to be crushed like all Rams! I like Manor and Bill Hayes too. They both did a lot for Aggie football and I want them to do a lot for WSSU. But I always want them to know who rules the HBCU's on the east coast. Go Aggies!

I think that it would be a good move to play WSSU in 2012 but I don't see it anytime soon. Because if I know Hayes he will want a 50/50 deal and that should not happen with a D-1 against a D-2 program NCAA Champions are not . WSSU IT'S YOUR MOVE

WSSU IS VERY GOOD. THEY HAVE AT LEAST 5 OR MORE NFL CALIBER PLAYERS.

They have to make it to the Championship game NFL caliber players are not. This is the playoffs and their are NFL Caliber players all over the place. It's going to be Interesting to see how they mach up against Midwestern State (11-0) out of TX, if either of them make it to the Championship game. Super Region 2 and 4 has more top ranked teams then the Regions WSSU will play. So they should make it to the sime's fairly easy. Coming out of 1 and 3, but after that they need to be on their A game.
