can't speak for other teams, but bcu and scsu go very deep "relatively speaking". for example, both bcu and scsu have 3 qb's that would be capable of starting at a&t. of course, one of scsu's qb's are out for the rest of the season. and both teams have tons of fbs transfers.
however, i see your point as long as we stay relatively injury free...

Suggesting the "Great Way" needed to change QBs in overtime is definitely Monday morning coaching or second guessing. I think the ball was down near the 4 yard line on 4th and Goal; Kindle had time to throw but he didn't see anyone open or open enough and he saw a 4 yard opening but sadly he had to run 6 yards. The defense closed in on him after he ran about 3 yards and he dive forward and came up a yard short..............It goes that way, sometimes. We didn't have to change QBs but having him on the field as a threat of getting the ball would have been one more guy the defense would've had to worry about. But it's over and done with now. On to the city where no one drinks or smokes, Nor-Fuk!!! Nor-Fuk!!!

R.lawis should be on the field at all times when we have the ball. The more weapons you have in a fight the better your chances of winning. I no that he is the back-up QB but he would open up a lot of options for Kindle.

To me it seems as if Kindle is playing and practicing to lax. I feel he would play a lot better if he knew there was another QB behind him that just might take his job if he were to have a bad game. We don't have that QB that can put pressure on Kindle to work and play harder. R. Lewis is not the type of QB that Kindle feels he needs to be concern about taking his starting job. Just my opinion!!

The one thing that annoying commentator said was true. "Kindle is not a great QB, but he is a good game manager". He is the best QB that we have had in a long time, but he still isn't the "MAN" at the position yet. When you have a QB like that he needs as many options on every play as possible at all times.

We don't have that QB that can put pressure on Kindle to work and play harder. R. Lewis is not the type of QB that Kindle feels he needs to be concern about taking his starting job. Just my opinion!! i think if you look at the stats, kindle is near the top of the conference in passing efficiency (3rd) and the team is 2nd overall in passing efficiency. we're 2nd in the conference in 3rd down conversions, so kindle is doing his job. kindle is not a problem for our offense. the only category where kindle lags behind "somewhat" is passing yardage (6th) and that's because we don't pass the ball as frequently as most other meac teams because we have a potent running attack. i don't think the guy is playing laxed at all. i think he's playing the way the coaches have asked him to play. for example, kindle isn't as good a runner as ricky lewis, but he's a very good runner nonetheless. but if you notice, kindle rarely takes off and runs out of the pocket when things break down. and i think that's because his coaches know the limitations of his backups and have advised him to minimize the chance of injury by avoiding as much contact as possible. he proved during his freshman year and also in high school that he's very capable of running the ball. but he hasn't done it very much at all this year and i believe that's because the coaches want him to just manage the game, use the running attack, and take time off the clock because we don't have depth. i watched kindle bow down at the 1 yard line after he was unable to score the game tying touchdown in overtime, and he stayed in devastation well after most of the team had cleared the field. i honestly don't think that's a sign of a qb who is laxed...

I dont think he is Lax. Not sure about that one Bigboy.
From all reports in the preseason he was having a great camp. Some even OVER exaggerated how good of a camp he was having. Probably because of how much better he was than some of our most recent QBs.
Still learning?(yes), Lax(No)

If you all saw Kindle practice he does not practice like, if I don't work hard I may lose my starting job to my backup. He practice like he knows that it's his job and he does not have to worry about that. I feel that Kindle is playing well enough, but that he can be a lot better if he worked harder in practice, and I am at practice almost everyday. He needs to know that he is being pushed by someone that just might take his starting job from him. If we bring in a top notch QB next season I beleive Kindle will become a much better QB because of that.

Bigboy : It maybe it's because we have no one to compare him to In practice.

bigboy, you might be right about how kindle practices, i dunno. i can't comment on that because i don't see any practices. but its kinda hard for me to think that broadway would let anybody practice half azz, including kindle. earlier in the season, he publicly criticized mayhew's lack of work ethic. so that tells me (or at least i think that means) broadway doesn't tolerate a poor work ethic.
but you're there to see it with your own eyes, so i have to take your word on what you see. but without question, competition does make an athlete work harder if he feels his job is being threatened. maybe laxed is too strong of a word, but i could see how he might not knowingly be giving maximum effort in practice...

I agree with oleschool(sky falling, lol). I guess I just hate the word "lax" as well. I was sometimes accused of that because of my demeanor and always thought it was crazy when someone said it. I was working my a$$ off! Making something look easy aint lax.
