That is one reason that I don't use the spared that close to the goal line. If he had a lead blocker game over.

you're right, trues. however, we could've gone for a 2 point conversion and won the game if we converted it. but i doubt that the coaches would've taken that risk...

I still feel that we should have kept R. Lewis in at QB during the OT, even though he had fumbled the ball earlier in the game. He picked up about 12 yards on the first play of OT. Ricky gave us more options down near the goal line in that situation. I am willing to bet that he would have score on that last play. Just my personal view!

Man, Howard reacted as if they had just won the MEAC championship, dumping on the coach and everything!!!

But, it's all Monday Morning Quarterbacking...

Was that "Flea" that ran over and picked up the game ball?

Man, Howard reacted as if they had just won the MEAC championship, dumping on the coach and everything!!! To them, they had. Flea remembers us from his playing days. I'm certain his whole staff was up for this game, and as a result, so was his team. It meant a lot more to Howard to beat us than it did for us to beat them. Them's just the facts. A week before the game I was at a housewarming party playing dominos with some cats that went to Howard. Once they found out I went to A&T they immediately starting talking about how good we were. They didn't believe me when I told them about the schollys. All they could talk about was how we'd dusted BCU and Morgan. As far as ot goes, it never favors a team without depth. If we aren't pretty well ahead in the fourth, I think we'll be in some trouble. Teams can just throw waves of fresh players at us.

Just my personal view! the only thing with that, is that howard would've sensed something was up if ricky had been at the qb position instead of kindle and they would've keyed on him. we're all just monday morning quarterbacking at this point. but one of my favorite plays down near the goal line is the play action left, qb bootleg right, which gives the qb an option to pass to the tight end in the endzone or run it in wide himself. but i'm not gonna second guess the coaches, they're the ones who put us in a position to win the game. had they not done a good job, we wouldn't have even had that opportunity. as i stated prior to the howard game, i was very nervous about playing howard because the bull's eye shifted to our backs and we'd pretty much handily beaten howard 3 years in a row. but as hard as it is, its time to move on. no need to dwell on that one game. we're gonna have our hands full at norfolk this weekend. our defense has been exposed. we've shown that we can stop the run, but we haven't shown that we can stop the pass. norfolk has a high percentage passing qb. if we don't put "heavy pressure" on him like bcu did, its gonna be a long day for our aggies...

Howard need A&T to win this weekend to have any chance of a MEAC title.

Suggesting the "Great Way" needed to change QBs in overtime is definitely Monday morning coaching or second guessing. I think the ball was down near the 4 yard line on 4th and Goal; Kindle had time to throw but he didn't see anyone open or open enough and he saw a 4 yard opening but sadly he had to run 6 yards. The defense closed in on him after he ran about 3 yards and he dive forward and came up a yard short..............It goes that way, sometimes.

We don't have the depth this year and that's what makes every win special. I'd love to win every game this year but that's not going to happen. But we are building a "winning attitude" on the team this year and that will pay off in recruiting, spring practice and next season.

Most teams only will go two deep in a close game, unless someone gets injured are they have a big lead. Their is a reason why a player is on the 3rd string. So we are on Par with any team we play. If your going by the 2 deep concept. Now their are teams that go 3 deep in all positions, and they don't miss a beat. But at this level you'll be hard pressed to find one.
