I have heard A&T bands since the 60's and this years band is as good as they have ever been, maybe even better. When you take into consideration that the vast majority of these students that are members of the band are not even on scholarship, and still continue to come out every year and work as hard as they do, hell we owe them all the props in the world. Great job B&GMM!!!! You said a mouth full right there dude!!!!!

This year's band is as a good as any in past years and can hold their own against anybody and outperform 95 percent of the bands they tradtionally go up against each week. You don't believe it ? Just watch halftime this Saturday AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
Ya'll arm chair critics need to get a life and get off of these kids back. All this whining and complaining is really beyond getting tiresome.

I've enjoyed The Machine in the stands and on the field this year. Not really any different than any previous "good" versions of The Machine.
Cold Steel is about as good as they have ever been. Ditto for Golden Delight. Whats the problem?

i don't think the machine has ever been a below average band and i've seen them at least once every year since the mid 70's. but i do think our performance goes up and down periodically. however, i think this year has been better than last year. but we'll never be on the level of famu or bcu unless we begin to offer a great number of scholarships and boost our membership to over 400 members.
if i had to grade this year's machine against "the best" of the machines i've seen since the mid 70's, i'd give them about a "b-" to a "b"...

Note to A&T fans: Most of our programs are underfunded and understaffed. Our sports teams and band operate often with limited scholarships and volunteer support staff. By the way, all those guys in gold blazers at the game are not on the band's payroll. Most work for free and car-fare. The A&T band will never have 400 members because we don't have the money to support a band that size. Bottom line, these kids and staff are doing great. Next time you meet one of them at a game, thank them for giving their time and effort for our beloved A&T.
