No I'm not surprised at all !! I have always stated that we would have and outstanding season. Some even said that I had ( unrealistic expectations) for the team WHEN I SAID THAT WE WOULD GO 8-4 FOR THE SEASON. The Team just needed to have that motivation to push their play to a higher level . Thanks to coach Broadway and Staff.

Yes and no. I honestly thought we could be 3-3 and 2-1 in the league but the BCU game made me a beleiver that Rod Broadway knows his stuff and there are few coaches around on any level as asutue as he is in motivating kids to play beyond themselves and to play as one tough single minded team unit.
They proved it to me once again that they will not fold under pressure like they demonstrated yesterday after DSU made their run. These A&T kids are tough. This team is the most unique one that I've seen in in 40 years of watching Aggie football and this team is for real. This is no fluke.

I'll have to admit i'm a little surprised. I knew they would be a better team from years past, but I didn't think they would be at this level this year. I can see the growth from week to week , whatever issues we have in one game , they have them worked out by the next game. These next four weeks on the road are going to really test us , but I feel really good about our chances.

What has surprised me is the maturation of the defense. Felt we would learn to scrore, but with losing 2 starting corners, and a defensive line that was undersized, and no real depth, I just could not see the defense holding up. In the App and Coastal games, we lost on 3rd down consistently. Now we are winning a lot of third downs. Our corners with the presence of Farrell are becoming more and more confident. Offensively, we are learning to execute. In our first 2 wins, we only scored by the big play. Now we have learned to sustain drives, which will also help the defense. The thing that has been most important to this run though is that everybody is remaining healthy. We lost #91 last week, But other than him, the team remains in good shape. Pray for the health of our young men. The coaches will handle the rest

What has surprised me is...I knew we had better coaching, BUT I've never seen it have an immediate impact the way it has. Especially when you factor our scholarship dilemma. Also, when you look at it these are the same kids that went 1-10 last year and now just one season later are looking like conference contenders. Everything about our football team is better....EVERYTHING: offense, defense and special teams! So now our administration looks like genuises.

man, i'm absolutely "totally" surprised! i ain't gone lie! i had us winning 3 to 5 games this season and we've already won 4. i thought winning 3 games was very probable, but anymore than that i suspected could go either way.
if i remember correctly, i believe i predicted wins over vul, howard, and nccu. my maybe's were dsu and morgan. certainly i didn't expect a win over bcu. the bcu win was the biggest "shock" of the season so far.
so yeah, i'm very surprised with the success of the team so far. hopefully coach broadway will keep their heads in the right place and don't allow them to become over confident. now, our sole focus should be on howard. the howard game could also be a "trap game" because we've beaten them 3 years in a row and the guys may feel this game should be an automatic win. it'll be howard's homecoming, so they'll be up for the game. bought my tickets way back in august, so i'll be there and i'm sure plenty of aggies will be there too...

My only surprise victory was BCC and while I thought we would beat Del I didn't think we would put up 40some points on ANYONE this year. I predicted 4 wins, but now who knows. They looked like they could play with anybody on Saturday.

Beyond surprised. Years of suck, excuses, and mismanagement had taken all expectations away from me. I completely underestimated Coach Broadway's ability to assemble a staff and game plan. I based my expectations of this staff on what had occurred against pwcs and in the postseason while at Central. I didn't have much knowledge of what they did at Grambling other than knowing it's kind of hard to lose at Grambling for long.
I've been affiliated with Ayantee since 1990, and I have never seen a team that consistently got better, week after week. There's still plenty of football left to be played so I may still not see one, but I have a feeling that this team will be different.
I'm probably the biggest money-miser on this board when it comes to coaching salaries, but this staff has earned a bonus in my book.
I was not surprised that we beat VUU. I was not surprised that App blew us out. I was not surprised that Coastal dominated us. I was very surprised that we dominated Morgan. I fainted when we dominated BCU. I re-fainted when we put 48 on DSU.
So yeah, very surprised. Yet I'm still nervous about every last game. Those year's of suck won't leave me be.

I am surprised. But we have to begin to think that the MEAC is kind of terrible this season as a whole with the exception of Norfolk State.

I am surprised. But we have to begin to think that the MEAC is kind of terrible this season as a whole with the exception of Norfolk State. I dont think the MEAC is any worse than previous years. There isn't a standout this year, but the conference as a whole isn't any worse. Outside of playing BCS schools we've had some decent out of conference showings. Not unlike any other year. Now if you say "the MEAC is always horrible" then I could go with that, LOL.

I'm also surprised at the immediate impact of good coaching. We always knew that coaching makes a difference but this much? I am now convinced that much more of the ineptitude that we see in HBCU football is coaching related than I had originally thought.

The MEAC is coming into it's own . Their are no dominant team are teams. It shows that the conference is stronger from top to bottom and that any team has the best possible chance of winning on a given Saturday . That is how it should be !!
