Love the concepts, like the fact that they sought input from various groups. It would definitely be the centerpoint of campus life.

good to see they're building a new bowling alley. hopefully they'll include enough seating so that our bowling team can practice and compete in their own facility...

Man, these new buildings and renovations look great. I had no idea any of these ideas were even being considered. Every Aggies should see these planned changes as soon as possible. Many Alumni "assume" that not much is happening on campus. These new buildings show that A&T is not only growing but getting more up-scale. I'm very excited.

Hey I'm all for the new Student Union but we have a more pressing problem. The entire A&T Marching Band is currently housed in a rented warehouse off campus next to Bojangles. What's up with that? This is their second warehouse home in the past 5 years and there doesn't appear to be any plans to build them an adequate band facility.
It doesn't take a big fancy building to have a great marching band (we've proven that) but what about the safety of the kids. This wearhouse is on a busy city street off campus next to a Bojangles. I worry about the safety of the young ladies that often leave band practice in the dark and have to walk half-way across campus to their dorms.
So let's add a new band room to our list of new buildings...please!

When it was first remodeled for the band, everyone talked about how big it was and how much more room the band has. I agree it is a hike to that side of campus, but looking at Frazier, there is no other space on campus comparable. Ive always personally thought the band should be in Campbell Hall (no offense ROTC). When the Bookstore, Ticket office and post office move to the the new student union, Brown Hall will be an open space and its in a perfect location. Maybe the higher ups in the BGMM admin could look into that possibility.

Totally agree , we need a new music building , and scholarships for all band members. You would see the numbers explode.

Although the current warehouse is larger than the previous band room, it's still a "warehouse." I don't know if you've every played an instrument in a band but a warehouse's acoustics are awful. The lighting is bad, there's no private practice rooms and it's off campus. I'm not concerned about how far the young ladies have to walk. I'm concerned about their safety during that long walk at night after band practice from that area back to their dorms. As for Frazier Hall, after they repaired the A/C and removed the asbestos several years ago, the fire marshal said it could not house more than 125 students in that space. The A&T Band hasn't been that small since the 1960's. So by law, they cannot return to practice in Frazier Hall. As for the other buildings you named, Campbell may be too small but with some renovations, Brown Hall may work. All I'm saying is we've upgraded the football facilities, we've built a great track, and we've even build a woman's softball field. Doesn't the A&T Marching Band deserve better than a rented warehouse off campus between a factor and Bojangles?

I talking about the houses across from Frazier Hall. Plan is to buy up that entire neighborhood. Just takes time
