I know someone will ask, why didn't the A&T Band travel with the team to Morgan? I would bet money was a big part of the reason they didn't go to Baltimore. The A&T Band, like all University organizations must make smart decisions about where it will spend its limited travel budget. It takes a lot of money for buses and food for a band our size. Years ago it was "understood" that travel funds would be available for all away games. That's not true today. So the band must pick and choose where they will spend their funds. While we are rebuilding the A&T Football team let's not forget about the A&T Marching Band. To some of us in the stands they have been the only thing to cheer for these past few years. They are an important part of the A&T Football experience and they need our financial support too. Contact me if you want to learn more about how you can help.

^^^Understand that!
1)Only five home games 2)Did not travel to Boone 3)Did not travel to Morgan 4)So are they still going to NSU, HU, and SCS? and if this gets a 2 out of 3 no answer something is wrong! 5)For them not to have gone to those away games and of course played at the home games so far, should be some $$$ somewhere.

I would assume they are also forecasting their financial needs for Nov 2012. If they miss a few away games for a national performance like Macy's, I'm cool with that.

From what I know we will be traveling to the Norfolk, Howard and SCSU games. Those are basic guarantee games the bgmm travels to.

The band performed somewhere over the weekend. I was in GSO and saw some members of the Machine suited and booted. Anybody got the scoop?

Yes we had performances all weekend actually. Very tiring but worthwhile. Saturday we went down towards Fayetteville to do an exhibition performance for the "Jimmy N James" Bucktown Classic Battle of the Bands. It was several high school bands competing. Sunday, we were in Durham County stadium for the Mid South Battle of the Bands Competition with many more high school bands. In both cases we were the only collegiate band to do an exhibition field show. We set up recruitment booths at both events that stayed SWAMPED the entire time. The band put on a great show both days. It was the field show from the VUL game but executed much better. I was very proud! There were several NCCU Alumni there that were saying "great show Aggies but we dont know why our band wouldnt perform here and they are right in Durham." What we are finding is that the era of going places JUST for the money may be shifting. (that would definitely be in our favor) But Dr. Ruff is on the money in his recruitment approaches in light of the fact we dont have the same recruitment budget as comparable (and even smaller) band programs in the MEAC, CIAA and SWAC. Anyway, the staff and kids are gearing up for a big weekend. The Marching Wildcats are coming and the BGMM will be ready!

My son and I saw the band in Durham and they did an excellent job. Cold Steel had them on their feet during there special feature; Cold Steel is the best point blank! !! ;D! They made all the Aggies mighty proud! next marching wildcats………..! I know the B&GMM will be READY!!!!!

Well, I know why NCCU didn't show up. Because, they are alot smaller than they used to be since they got back from Pasadena...hint, hint: graduates marching in the band just for the trip to CA. I'm almost sure they were invited, I'm willing to bet my paycheck...just playing! BCU is headed to Gboro? WOW, I wish I could make it, but I have to wait til homecoming. I happened to see a piece of them this week when they played MIA, they are still sharp as usual. But let's go BBMM...do what you do!!!

Now the question we all need to know is......will visiting bands be positioned across from the Machine....or all the way on the other side in the original spot???
