i haven't been to homecoming in about 4 years, i've been trying to holdout until we learn to actually win our homecoming games. well, at the rate we're going, i may have to wait another 4 years. so i decided to give in this year and come to homecoming regardless. i miss the festivities despite the "punch in the gut" feeling of losing the football game.
so where's the activities list? i haven't seen anything posted yet. somebody help a brutha out! what's happening for homecoming 2011?

Well, you know the Sheraton Four Seasons will be one of the main spots but downtown will have DAY parties at several spots Friday and Friday nite. Da Manhattan's and Stylistics are on for Friday nite at the Sheraton (Homecoming Concert/Banquet). I saw them 10 years ago and they just cud WALK. They gots to get sum younger bucks planning THAT event because every year it gets mo tired. But don't you worry there will be plenty of events and happenings and mo will be known very soon!!! IT IS DA GHOE!!!!!!!!!

OSA I hope you have a ball my brother. Please come back and post your opinion of your experience. I used to take the wife often when it was at the coliseum , but i can't afford it these days. normally i wouldn't pay nearly that much for concert tickets, not even for the biggest major acts (except maybe for kelly rowland ;D). but i figured the proceeds would help the university, so i looked at it as a fundraiser for a&t and i'm just contributing to that effort. hopefully many other aggies will feel the same way and show up for this event. i'd hate to pay that much for tickets and no one else shows up. i've seen both groups recently here in the dc area (for a lot less money), so i already know both groups will be very entertaining. but these high ticket prices may scare some folks away from this event. i'll let you know how it turns out...

A&T's football radio broadcast sucks! There I said it. This has been a dirty little secret for years. The announcers are awful. When I am late driving in to the game, it takes all my strength to tune in to get the score from these guys.
All my A&T Football friends refer to the broadcast as the "Amos and Andy Show." And like that show, it's time to pull the plug on it. I know it cost money to hire some actual sports broadcasters but how can you have those guys on the radio representing A&T State University. In fact, I've heard local high school football broadcasts that are done more professional.
Last week I went on the internet and listened to the A&T/ Bethune Cookman game broadcasted by Bethune Cookman. I couldn't believe how professional it was.
I realize Dr. Martin goes to the game and doesn't listen to the broadcast. But I think that if he ever did listen to those guys broadcasting the game, he would pull the plug on them and play recorded music instead.
Will some please shut these guys up!

WOW! I didn't know you change the subject line within a thread. But, why didn't you just start a new thread. I'm sure it would be an interesting discussion.

It's not the Sheraton that's tripping (well maybe partially). It's the patrons of the Sheraton that apparently have grown tired of waiting in line 3 or 4 cycles to get on a packed elevators, of hearing hordes people up and down the halls all night, of having to walk from the mall parking lot. Apparently the complaints reached an all time high last year, or a complaint came from the right person. I have been there previous years when it seemed worse. The Sheraton just realized who really is paying the bills and decided to cater to them. After all what's the risk to the Sheraton?
