i'm taking one game at a time. i'm not looking ahead to famu just yet. but i agree that joe taylor at famu doesn't have the former hampton's joe taylor talent. remember when jt was sending more hampton players to the nfl combine than a lot of bcs schools? well, he's not getting that same level of talent at famu.
he has decent talent at famu, but he had much better talent at hampton. that tells me that the support system at hampton is better than what he's getting at famu.
and by the way, let me be the first to "go out on the limb" regarding our upcoming game against coastal carolina. i'm predicting an aggie victory over coastal! i think coastal is a pretty good team, but i truly believe our guys will grow tremendously from the app state game.
i think our guys will be much more comfortable with our new schemes after two games of experience under their belts. our guys will be doing much less "thinking" now and should react much quicker to real game situations. plus, we're still "relatively" injury free and we've had an extra week to heal and an extra week to prepare for coastal.
broadway and his staff looks very organized from what i've seen so far. with the home crowd on our side, i think we'll pull off the upset this weekend...

I've already told several people we will kick FAMU to sleep this year. We took them to overtime with that hot mess (coaching staff) we had last year. Not talking about you specifically oldschool(junior), but its funny how now that people see how a "real" staff operates they realize that General Lee and the gang sucked. I was saying it for 2 years and people were in denial. We'll win at least 3 games this year on coaching preparation alone.

Not to defend the former staff, but give them Kindle and the 10 players they lost just prior to the WSSU game and last year is a totally different story.
That being typed, this staff is clearly a better staff.
That being typed, I doubt we win more than one more this year (if that much). We ain't got the numbers.

FAMU: No major injuries
While the Jaguars suffered a close loss last week, the Rattlers were blown out at FBS opponent South Florida 70-17.
FAMU coach Joe Taylor said that in some respects, his team may have benefited from the loss because players were re-energized Sunday upon their return to Tallahassee.
“If what comes out of this is that we get more attentive in the weight room, or we get more attentive in the film room and the practice field, then yes, that will cause us to play better,” Taylor said.
Taylor also said his team suffered no major injuries last week.
“We’re really fortunate from that standpoint,” he said.
