Quote of the week - "we were out coached, out played and out hustled" - prety much sums it up!
I like the realism of what happened yesterday - blame is shared and not only placed on the players!

Exactly. The coaches threw the players under the bus last year. I'm also glad he touched on the 3rd down and 4th down conversions by App. Lee never said anything informative about what just happened in the game either.

Broadway wont let this team settle for moral victories.
I like how he said the defense rolled over way too much, especially on 3rd and long.

My thoughts on the game is what I think most of us see. The Fish Samich U of L game was an illusion. We are better than last year because of better coaching and QB play. That being said, we are a looong way from being where we wanna be. We just do not have the pieces to be a great (good???) football team. More talent will come when we have more schollys.
Moves that really puzzled me were: Why predictably run the ball off tackle consistently on first down after seeing it was not working? Could we have not run OR passed on first down to keep them guessing? I know our DB's are weak but Pressley is not known as a consistent passer. Why not close the cushion that the DB's employ at least by 5 yrds no one is expecting bump and run but damn-a-lam!!! Why punt the ball that deep in App St's territory? Why wasn"t "Tricky" Ricky used more at WR, especially since "Mr. Electricity" Warren was out? Kindle needs to try and spread the ball around to other receivers more often (yeah, I know about the other WR's). Somebody on D needs to become a playmaker in the mold of Brandon Jackson or D'Vonte Graham from last year.
Our coaches have their work cut out for them so it will be interesting if they will be able to squeeze more out of what they are working with.Oh yeah, Mayhew is touched up and definitely pressing!!!!

BROADWAY SOUNDS LIKE A VERY SMART COACH(GIVE HIM TIME). HE JUST DON'T HAVE THE HORSES RIGHT NOW. WHAT DISTURB ME THIS WEEKEND IS THAT I SAW SHAW UNIVERSITY(D-2) PLAY AND THEY HAD SIZE AND VERY ATHLETIC PLAYERS. I KNOW AS OUTSTANDING OF A INSTITUTION AS A&T IS, THERE IS NO WAY THAT( SHAW )SHOULD BE ABLE TO OUT RECRUIT A&T! I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND.

Did Shaw win. Not!! Also if you look at Shaw's Roster you will see that it is mostly JC and transfers !! Back to the point: I think Broadway is trying to find out this Teams Personality!!

The problem is you have to get them eligible to play and make sure they graduate. Most of those same men you are drooling over at Shaw are ineligible to play division I ball. That's why they are at Shaw.
Additionally, we only have 33 scholarship players because we recruited juco and transfer (and prop) guys that couldn't cut it in the classroom and are already back home. As a result of a low APR we lost scholarships.
Just some information so you don't come off looking like an uninformed buffoon the next time you type.

folks, the sky ain't falling. its gonna be okay. anybody who truly expected our 33 scholarship team to hold up for 4 quarters against a 63 scholarship team that just so happens to be a top 3 ranked team in the nation, is very much misguided. i knew it would probably get ugly in the second half because we don't have quality depth and app state's 2nd string is just as talented as our starters. it was inevitable that our guys would run out of steam and quality backups in the second half.
but if we came out of this game relatively injury free, i think we'll be a better team for it. i think we'll see a better looking offense and defense against coastal carolina and i actually think we'll have a good chance to win that game...
