I guess I have to be the devil in this. I was not happy with the attendance nor with the tailgate. It put you in my of my High School tail gate. It was like a ghost town then they ask you to leave a hour after the gam. 11,000 is nothing compared to the Winston game that number was around 20,000 + So you are blaming the opponent and not the Fan Zone?

i don't think the fan zone helped nor hurt attendance. i think we would have had about the same number of fans at that game, with or without the fan zone. so as far as generating additional revenue because of the fan zone, i don't think that happened.
what was missing was the folk standing outside the stadium just hanging out. there weren't as many of those folk there. even though the pressbox construction took up a significant amount of space inside the fence, it still didn't seem to be as many folk tailgating/socializing as normal within the fan zone...

I think the Fan Zone did as it was designed. For us to draw more than we did against JCSU was pretty remarkeable, especially when you consider that was a night game as well.
