UNC President Tom Ross to be inaugurated at NC A&T The Business Journal - by Matt Evans Date: Wednesday, August 17, 2011 It appears the Triad will play host to the second inauguration of the University of North Carolina president in a row, when Tom Ross is formally installed in the job on Oct. 6 at N.C. A&T State UniversitybizWatch . The UNC system has not made a formal announcement of the selection, but a "save the date" notice has been posted on the system's web site. The Foundation and Alumni Event Center. From what I was told, Tom Ross was so impressed with A&T and our campus that he wanted to be installed here.

It probably will be in Corbett, considering where previous Chancellor installation ceremonies have been held.

It probably will be in Corbett, considering where previous Chancellor installation ceremonies have been held. hey, maybe this is a good way to convince the new president that we need a new convocation center for events like this. hampton makes some decent income off their convocation center. they hosted a whole bunch of high school commencement ceremonies at their convocation center. i mean, we're talking 4 or 5 different high school commencements all in the same day...

Tom has family here and when he was on the Superior Court bench in Guilford County for years he lived here and now again lives here in Greensboro with his family after his stint at Davidson.
He's been a long time supporter of the university even though no one ever mentions it in public.

He's been a long time supporter of the university even though no one ever mentions it in public. Hopefully he will look out for us.
