Just a quick question....what if you have an alum that gives more back to A&T than any one of us on this site and wears a UNC tee shirt. What does that mean? The correlation is just not there for me fellas. One has nothing to do with the other. But, you have your opinions. But what you preach about will not help us in our current state.

It may be possible but I just don't believe that a person who would give back to A&T in a substantial way would wear a UNC T Shirt. I just don't believe it. Loyalty is what counts. Go on their campus next week aND count the Aggie shirts and let us know.
What I am preaching about will help us in our current state. Show your true loyalty and pocket book to A&T and quit patronizing UNC, Duke, Wake, State and any other damn white institution. They don't support us or recognize us. Quit 'Tomming' and show your true colors ... Blue & Gold.
I am tired of talking about UNC and the like. I let you all know where I stand. A lot of you make me think that you are ashamed to be affiliated with a HBCU. Wear your Blue & Gold and show your real ... AGGIE PRIDE!!

What gets me is, being at an A&T game and seeing A&T students wearing UNC and Duke stuff! I use to confront them about the reason that they were wearing something other than A&T. I always got " I can wear whatever I want", so I finally just left it alone. I used to give people sheer hell for wearing other schools' paraphenalia. Now that I've matured, I'm more in agreement with the "wear whatever I want" theory. You ain't gonna catch me in a shirt from some school I didn't attend (unless it was a gift and I'm mowing the lawn in it) but I'm not going to begrudge somebody else the right to do it. It's their money, if they want to do something that doesn't make much sense that's their business. Yelling at them or insulting them isn't going to make them change their shirt.

It's all about marketing strategy and subliminal advertisements strategy .(The advertising industry, engages in deceptive subliminal advertising which most us are unaware of. By bypassing our unconscious mind using subliminal techniques, advertisers tap into the vulnerabilities surrounding our unconscious mind,) look @ East-bay are any sports gear catalog. What do you see not one HBCU can be found??? We need to Market HBCU products Nationally. The days of just Regional Marketing are over . My kids asK me all the time where did I get my HBCU gear and I have to tell them on-line. The ?? that we should be asking is why we are not Marketing HBCU gear and schools nationally. You can go to NYC and you would have to walk your legs off to find A & T gear and then it's a knockoff. Look like DOOMS I care less about what people wear are how they spend their money are their Theory about why they wear what they wear But I do know this if (YOU MARKET SOMETHING HARD PEOPLE WILL BUY IT) that's just the way it is.. This young generation is about who is wearing what and if my friends wear a NCU tee I must have one. Hell I saw group of my kids wearing (Sweater vests) I hate Sweater Vests but that's what they like . But I won't wear one!!!!

Let me see if I can make a better analogy and give me your opinion. I have a co-worker who went to A&T played basketball and dropped out and didn't finish her degree. Now, her son just started VCU on a basketball scholarship...question: what type of tee-shirt should she wear?? Or does it really matter? Should she show up at her at her son's game in "purchased" A&T gear when she can simply wear a VCU shirt that was given to her? Just a question.

As long as she, hopefully, does not choose to wear her VCU gear to an A&T event. She is free to wear what she want, anytime she want, and anywhere she want.

"BIGBOY" - YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN PREACHING ABOUT. WHY WOULD YOU WEAR CLOTHING FROM THE ACC AND YOU ARE A STUDENT AT A&T. YOU AIN'T GOING TO SEE THAT AT CAROLINA OR DUKE. THE MAJORITY OF THEM DON'T EVEN KNOW WE EXIST. THESE ARE STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT LOYAL AGGIES AND ARE WANNABES. HELL, MOST STUDENTS NOW DAYS DON'T EVEN ATTEND ATHLETIC EVENTS ON CAMPUS. THEY GO HOME ON THE WEEKEND. THE ONLY TWO GAMES THEY WILL ATTEND IN FULL FORCE IS NCCU & WINSTON SALEM. THESE KIDS AND SOME OF OUR ADULT AGGIES NEED TO WAKE UP ABOUT SUPPORTING THESE WHITE INSTITUTIONS AND QUIT SUPPORTING THEM AND MAKING THEM RELEVANT. WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT THEIR SPORTS PROGRAMS AND PROBLEMS. THEY SHO AIN'T WORRIED ABOUT OURS. dude, i think you need some therapy or counseling or somethin'. 'cause it just ain't that serious! just because an aggie student happens to wear a major d1 school's t-shirt doesn't mean they're a sellout. a lot hbcu students grew up watching schools like notre dame (which was on tv every week in my hometown), unc, georgetown, texas, et cetera. and its not an act of "treason" to be a fan of one of those major d1 programs. a lot of hbcu students (including myself at the time) never even heard of the hbcu they attend until they're nearly teenagers. growing up, i know i didn't know anything about a&t until i was about 14 or so. but i knew a lot about unc for as long as i can remember being able to watch a tv. and i'll be very honest with you, had unc offered me a scholarship in football, basketball, or track, today my screen name would be "oleschooltarheel" because i would've gone to chapel hill. but that didn't happen, so coming out of high school, a&t was easily my #1 choice and my second choice wasn't even remotely close. and to this very day, there's only 1 school that i pull for "athletically" more than unc, and that's a&t. even when hampton beat unc in basketball during the year before roy williams arrived, i was pulling for unc. yet, even though i'm a big time tarheel fan, i've never donated one single dime to unc. my loyalty lies with a&t. but i don't see any conflict of interest by being a tarheel fan. we're not on their level athletically and likely never will be. so where's the conflict? in my opinion, i think its very "racist" to dislike an institution solely because it is predominantly white. i mean, in that case, you may as well hate coach broadway because that's where he spent his college years and that's where he got his degree. man, its the 21st century for crying out loud! geeesh! jim crow is dead! today we have an african american president! its long pass the time to get over that stuff you're talkin' bout...

UNC...ACC...SEC...don't care. They wanted to go big time, and that can't happen without doing some dirt. Will the trouble at UNC mean some transfers to A&T...Now that's something I want to talk about.

HE WAS WEARING A "DUKE" BASEBALL CAP. THAT WAS TOO MUCH FOR THE AGGIE LOYAL FANS AND ADMINISTRATION - COACH CAPEL WAS FIRED!! GET MY DRIFT.

no one on the face of this planet can question my loyalty to a&t. and i'll be dayum if i'm gonna let somebody label me as disloyal to my alma mater just because i may wear a unc t-shirt or baseball cap. that's stupid and childish!
there's plenty of aggie alums who don't donate one single nickel to a&t but may exclusively wear aggie gear. that doesn't make them any better of an aggie just because they don't wear a major d1's t-shirt. since when does a t-shirt define who a person is?
even when i was a student, it didn't bother me to see a fellow aggie wear a major d1 school's paraphernalia. it didn't offend me because we're not on those major d1 school's level athletically. major d1 athletic programs may as well be "professional franchises" as far as i'm concerned. i view them the same way.
now, if a fellow aggie were wearing an nccu t-shirt, then i'd have a big time problem with that! but that's only because they're our arch rivals. but my wife is a virginia state alum. when i go with her to virginia state homecomings, my wife and i both wear virginia state t-shirts. and whenever my wife comes to a&t games with me, she wears aggie paraphernalia from head to toe and so do i.
its no big deal, folks! some of ya'll are beginning to sound like the bloods and the crips! omg! folks can't even wear what they want to wear without being considered sellouts? omg...
