Ah...he isn't that bad either. He guided GSU to an 8-2 season last year as a freshman. Now, I know you will say his supporting cast was very good at Grambling, but the supporting cast as WSSU is pretty dayum good too.

He will need a good running game because he isn't a qb that can carry an offense.

I think WSSU has a good running game.

So Decks in your mind do you think he's better than Kindle as a freshmen?

So Decks in your mind do you think he's better than Kindle as a freshmen? I can't really answer that one since Kindle has really only played like 1 1/2 games but I do like his potential. Don't get me wrong, Carrothers is a good qb but he's not one that can carry an offense. Tom Knotts learned that lesson the hard way.

Anthony Carrothers- Did he get a release from Grambling?? I don't think that he is transferring to WSSU and if he is someone needs to tell him & Grambling and hit him on twitter and let him know that he is transferring. That young man is a G-man to the end

I don't think that he is transferring to WSSU and if he is someone needs to tell him & Grambling and hit him on twitter and let him know that he is transferring. That young man is a G-man to the end folk over at onnidan stated several weeks ago that he tweeted that he's transferring to wssu. he really doesn't have to have a release from grambling to transfer to wssu this year. i'm not sure how the release rules work going from an fcs school to a d2 school. but even if its required and gsu didn't release him from his scholarship, he could still transfer to wssu and play immediately. he'd just have to pay his own way for the first year which probably wouldn't be a major problem since he'd be paying in-state tuition. then next year wssu could legally put him on athletic scholarship. but again, i'm not certain if a release is even necessary when transferring from an fcs school to a d2 school...

Whats the reason for the secrecy saabman? Also you don't think its going to take this new kid time to learn plays, snap counts, etc. since he was not at spring camp?

I saw first hand what that boy did at Grambling and that kids a Ball player (The black Doug Flute) Thats what my kids called him lol. i like carrothers too. but i don't know if he can carry an offense. he's a decent passer, but i wouldn't consider him a great passer. obviously, he's an outstanding runner. but if a team can shut his running down, i'm not convinced he can make them pay with his arm. considering his size, i'd give him a "c" or maybe a "c+" as a passer. but he gets an "a" as a runner. and you're right, he does remind me of a "black doug flutie", except he's much faster than flutie was...
