Report: Evans will consult at Savannah State By Chip Towers The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Damon Evans has been hired as a consultant for the Savannah State athletic department, according to a report in the Savannah Morning News. Evans, a former Georgia athletic director, will assess the department following the firing of Marilynn Suggs on Wednesday. The paper cited two people familiar with the situation in its report. Evans did not return phone calls from the AJC on Thursday. Evans resigned from his UGA position amid scandal last July, days after he was arrested for driving under the influence. Evans pleaded guilty to the DUI charge, was fined $750 and served a one-year probation... Article: www.ajc.com/sports/uga/report-evans-will-consult-1004282.html

Well, remember the interim President of SSU came from the UGA system office. It make sense and I would not be shocked if they cut some type of deal for him to end up working there. He needs to get back in good graces and clean up his name... could this be his "Bozeman" job?
However on another tip, while there are changes happening very fast at SSU because of the strong hand of the UGA system, could Dr. Yarbrough have done the same in due time if given the resources?

You have to wonder why Suggs was hired as AD in the first place. She went from SID to AD with no experience

You have to wonder why Suggs was hired as AD in the first place. She went from SID to AD with no experience I believe that it had something to do with maybe keeping her quiet or there must have been some other type of external force. She wasn't really the best qualified person for the job.
