Man...that brought tears to my eyes. We should be ashamed to see the depths that our program has fallen in a matter of 7-10 years. I mean, it has to take effort to fall off like that. Did you see the swag that they played with under Hayes??? They played with the WISH factor (I WISH a mofo would come in our house and play us). Those were the days!!!

Remember how people use to hate Jason Battle, well we would love to have him now!!! Man it was a lot of top notch players on the 99 team. I will never forget that championship game against FAMU. "Or has time rewritten evey line" ??

Looking back at that roster, the talent on that team was simply amazing. Offense, defense, size, speed, depth, kicking game and great execution. It was probably the best A&T team of the last 25 years just slightly ahead of the 1991 champrionship team with Connell Maynor at QB as a senior.

AggieOne, you are right about the talent level on that team. If I'm not mistaken, I think at least 6 players on that team got a shot in the NFL.

"Sigh"
I am encouraged Hilton was the Associate AD at that time so he knows what success looks and feels like....

Although I dont like Hayes I wish we would not had fired him. He would have brought us more winning seasons.

Listening to him in that interview really gives you the feeling that he would have been content his entire career at A&T. I don't know what his long-term vision was for the program, but if everything didnt turn sour he would still be at T. . . . . . Still glad we got Broadway...
