could it be that the larger school's have no interest in playing the HBCU schools because in most cases, there has been no relationship established with the schools? and again, why would they play us when they can play the Elon's and the Gardner Webb's of the world?
i tend to agree that there is nothing gained except $$$$$ when you go out and get beat the big schools....sure we could use the money, but football is a little different than basketball(correct me if i am wrong) because of the size and strength issue and the possibility of injury....just giving my two cents worth....

Without struggle, they'll be no progress. We must now change our thinking and start to believe and prepare for greater/bigger things.

Historically NC State has always given their football money to othe 1-aa pwc's. Check back over the last five or six years. It may be a matter of preference I suppose.

Part of the reason is that we don't have any flexibility in the schedule. We now have 9 conference games that we got to play and with NCCU possibly every year where can we schedule a non conference game with the ACC

Has any hbcu ever approached NC State about playing them in football? Yes. We did the last two years. I think one year they picked Richmond and the other year App. St.

We did it under Todd?!? That's a complete 180 from her public stance on playing in-state I-As.

You have to look at it from the other side. If you were NC St. or any body else and you wanted to play a cupcake the FSU's and VT's of the world woul;d't let you play A&T ofver App. or even G-W. because you make everybody look bad in that case.
You choose what looks better on the schedule Defending national champ that travels well or bottom three team in 1-AA. with a decent band.
