Another thing - I have yet to see an official release of Winston's 2011 football schedule. If anyone does, post it.

Benedict is in South Cak and a HBCU about the size of JCSU or Livingstone. It would be worth it to give them a ring.

If you think Dennis Thomas has any love for us, go have your head examined. We've been screwed by this conference ever since Harvey at Hampton pulled strings and gave favors to get him that job because he could influence him to no end.
No reason for the MEAC office to be in Norfolk after it was here in Greensboro, the birthplace of the MEAC for two nearly decades. None.

U rite about Harvey having an edge on Dennis Thomas. Harvey is a major player on many scenes. Remember he has national connections and Obama spoke at Hampton's graduation. The man knows how to get things done. Getting his hooks into Dennis Thomas was just a day in the park for him. We got shafted this year with our football schedule.

AggieOne and AggieGroove-- You guys ignore the reasons why the conference office and the MEAC Basketball Tournament moved: Greensboro didn't want us here.
For two years, the MEAC Office was trying to negotiate for better office space with the city. This is something that cities do for entities such as conference HQs all of the time, but the city turned its backs on us. Virginia Beach (yes...through Dr. Harvey) stepped up to the plate and worked out a deal for the conference office suites and paid all moving expenses.
With the MEAC Basketball Tournament, the Greensboro Coliseum refused to secure (block out) our dates for the building...because they wanted the ACC to be able to get the building on any dates that they needed it. There was a stretch of several years where we could not get the building, so we had to find another home. I think that is when we went to the Norfolk Scope. As I'm sure that you know, the Greensboro Coliseum hasn't even bothered to submit a bid on the tournament since we left...because they don't want it.
