Hell, it looked suspect then.
Why would you leave a secure job for one that's been proven to last no more than three years before you get fired?

Hell, it looked suspect then. Why would you leave a secure job for one that's been proven to last no more than three years before you get fired? Coaching is a risky job going in. In all honesty, if I were making $80k and had the opportunity to make $140K and the people who were getting fired were averaging 3 wins a season I'd go. This aint Ohio State and you go 10-1 and lose to Michigan you get fired. These coaches weren't winning jack...

Not me. Yeah I'll make $140k, this year. But next year I'll be fired. Naw, I'll keep my $80k and job security. We're in a recession.
And I get the feeling I'm not alone in that thought process...
Man I used to make an absolute killing chasing ambulances. I let that mess go for a 50% pay cut, some job security, and less stress. 140 large ain't enough for me to worried about whether the Chancellor's calling me in to congratulate me or decapitate me.

I feel ya dooms. I let more money go cause I'm chilling where Im at. Still dont know if I could let 60 more go. That's 180 over 3 years! Brotha like myself would be debt free.

You gots a pernt there too. Although, I let about 80 go. My feeling was there was no guarantee because of the unstable nature of ambulance chasing.
With our penchant for paying contracts, the job might actually be attractive in a weird way.

I would probably ask what the hell is ambulance chasing if I hadn't seen "The Rainmaker" a few weeks ago with Matt Damon, LOL.

With absolutely nothing to go on, I have a feeling we're going to get it right this time.

Doesn't the BOT have to approve of the AD and DC hire? The next scheduled BOT meeting is Feb. 18th. If we don't hear about an emergency BOT meeting nothing is happening.
