True that, but if you have invested in the restaurant;are you going to stop supporting it?That may be the problem we may not have the volumn of invested people we need to field an on- par product. Just a thought. Whatever. Teams better than us had less than 7000 people at last weeks game.

True that, but if you have invested in the restaurant;are you going to stop supporting it?That may be the problem we may not have the volumn of invested people we need to field an on- par product. Just a thought. a&t's boosters (which includes me) invest more funding in aggie athletics than any other boosters in the meac (only famu raises slightly more than us). so let's stop using lack of funding as an "excuse" for only winning 1 football game all season long. personally, i will continue to support aggie football, win, lose, or draw. but i honestly can't blame folk if they stop coming to our games. i mean, look at our recent history? 3 of the last 5 football seasons, we've only won "1" game. that includes 2 "winless" seasons and currently a "1 win" season. that's a combined record of 1-31. over the last 5 years, our combined record is about 8-46 and heaven only knows how long its been since we've won a homecoming game! its been "7 long years" since we've even had a winning season. how much longer are folk suppose to be patient? most folk go to football games to support the team and enjoy themselves. but "no one" enjoys losing! especially all the time. for a lot of folk, there's a sense of hurt, depression, and "frustration" when our team loses. we've got to tolerate a bunch of smack from our rivals. no one enjoys that. why should folk continue to torture themselves? again, me personally, i'll keep supporting our team. but hail, even i can't support losing "forever". and that's pretty much all we've been doing for the last 7 years. i think we have some of the "very best" fans of all hbcu's in the entire nation! we've supported our team a lot longer than most other hbcu's would have. "nationally", we were still one of the top fcs programs in attendance during our winless years and last year we were one of the top 5 despite only winning 4 games. so blaming our fans for anything is the wrong way to go. our fans are the best, period! we just wish we could say the same about our football team...

The point i was making was not about the winning and losing but about the number of people in the stands. The complaint was the stats showing the number of people in the stands capared to the capacity . I support the athletic department as well. I am not as willing to sit out a game as I would if I didn't financally support the team. That is my point maybe we need a higher volumn of people donating. Therefore my thesis was " a greater volumn of investor equal a larger crowd. The winning and losing "excuse" is another post. Just a thought.

I guess you can debate the whole excuses thing, but it's not like he's not telling the truth.

Financial support for a team like A&T(or any FCS team) is year to year. You have a bad year and season ticket holders go down and less people make the trip for the game. And in a HBCU's case, some just go to tailgate and never go in.
Until you can NOT just walk up on game day and get a reserved seat(even though its on the visitors side) attendance will always be bad when we have a losing season.
