They are trying to get the land behind the band room to put a new nursing building, more parking a middle college and also a intramural/soccer field. fac.ncat.edu/engineer/PDF%20Files/2010%20Chancellor%20Master%20Plan%20Presentation%2003-19-10.pdfthe land where the y is proposed to be a new engineering building and parking deck. by looking at the plans for the area around the church, it does not look that they want the church area right now, but they do want to build a new bookstore, parking deck, university life center and student health center. I do like the design for a new student union or an add on or whatever it may be. If i new how to add the pics from the presentation i would.

Thank ya!! YOur going to have to teach me how you did that. Sure thing Who has $32 million for the Convocation Center??? The Question is Where are we going to put the thing...Looking at the map of campus, im starting to see how packed in we have everything...soon campus will be all buildings and No Trees or green space... I really hope the university is planning to eventually purchase all the land between Fraizer Hall and War Memorial...that could solve the Convocation Center issue... either that or purchase the Riverwalk Property and place it Across from Aggie Stadium there really aren't too many places to put the thing if War Memorial is left standing

The Convocation Center could go there along with other buildings. Just brainstorming Why have we not built our buildings or dorm rooms in an upward direction to be about 5 or 6 stories high. Everything is built out to take up space.

I Think the building height issue has something to do with a zoning or Board of Trustees ruling that campus buildings were to not exceed a certain height after Barbee was built...I could be off base but that was the reasoning i was given years ago...
