Sike, it's just all bad. Amber Calvin suffered a serious knee injury in the Miami game that required surgery. She reportedly now is undergoing rehab. Not sure if it was an ACL, PCL or USFL. I'm not a doctor. Also not sure how long her recovery will be, but I hope she can make it back in time for next season. She is basically our only returning ball-handler on the roster. With that said, I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

man, that's not bad news. that's "devastating" news! if she had surgery, its likely an acl injury. remember she missed her entire junior year of high school ball because of an acl injury. and if she injured the same acl, she may never be the same again. if she had acl surgery, chances are she'll miss the entire season. the only encouraging news is that she'll have more than a year and a half to rehab before coming back.
dang! this is not good. if she was healthy, she would be one of our top 2 or 3 players next season, if not the top. if coach bibbs can win another championship without calvin, then she's even greater than great...

what do I know but maybe its not that bad if the game was 3-4 weeks ago and she is already rehabing.

Hopefully, things work out well, but as all of you know playing too soon can result in reinjury.

what do I know but maybe its not that bad if the game was 3-4 weeks ago and she is already rehabing. i dunno, frisco. my daughter suffered an acl injury and had to sit out a year. it doesn't take long to get back on your feet after surgery. but the rehab process is very long and gradual. if it was an acl injury, she's probably into the baby steps of rehab right now but she's a long way from playing again. she'll be able to walk around almost like normal, but that's a long way from being able to sprint, jump, cut, and stop on a dime. i'm hoping it was an mcl which normally is far less severe and often doesn't require surgery. but if she had surgery, its likely an acl. even if its the opposite knee, your mind starts playing tricks on you when you return. i coached against a young lady who currently plays for uva cav's. her name is paulisha kellum. before college, she was one of the top 10 players in the country. but she tore her acl twice on opposite knees and she's never been the same. they honored her scholarship at uva and she is an impact player, but no where near what she use to be. monique curry only had one acl injury while at duke and she never was the same after that. but there's plenty of ball players who came back and didn't miss a beat after one acl surgery. but after two, that's a different animal...

That's not bad news, that's horrible news The one good thing is that they've made a lot of advances in treating acl injuries. Hopefully she'll recover by next season. This may not be as horrible as it sounds. Hopefully.

You can always recover from injuries. Let's just hope everyone is eligible.

I didn't get a kick out of the joke; your sense of humor has something to be desired.
