Well Providence beat Maryland tonight, so I don't feel quite as bad now.
I wouldn't have been able to make the trip up to Rhode Island.

No matter how long this WNIT run lasts, Beatdown Unlimited has taken the concept of Aggie Pride to a new level. i agree whole-heartedly. The lady aggies, if they never win another game have done more than any of us could have ever asked. Hopefully they raised the bar for the mens football and basketball expectations. A&T has four players who could start or contribute major minutes for the top ACC teams. Tweet and Amber could start; and Jaleesa and LaMona could be the 6th player - first player off the bench. This is why A&T is competing so well right now. It took time though for this to happen this year. It would have helped this team greatly, as far as NIT seeding or getting an NCAA at-large bid, if the Lady Aggies could have played this well at the beginning of the season.

Let's hope the returning girls realize that and dedicate themselves this offseason to getting back to this level.

Sams 20pts 9reb 2STL @blk 1 AST I predict next year this will be Jalessa's team if she dedicates herself .....

Sams 20pts 9reb 2STL @blk 1 AST I predict next year this will be Jalessa's team if she dedicates herself ..... "ironically", it will be both jee sams' team and amber calvin's team. calvin has "earned" the right to be a team leader next year and there's no question jee will bring more experience than anybody else. the best news is that we won't have to go through another learning process next year. this team will already have an identity coming out of the blocks next year, we'll know from jump where our scoring will come from. and thank gawd murdaugh finally came around at the end of the season. she'll be very confident going into next season. so it looks like beatdowns unlimited won't miss a beat next year! plus, with the great additions coming in, we'll be right back in the hunt for another meac championship! and brace yourselves aggies! after such an impressive postseason performance this year, no telling what the daughter of man will come up with this summer on the recruiting trail! and add to that, our tremendous fan support, and don't be surprised if bibbs locks in a major d1 top 50 or 60 recruit this summer...

I don't think it would be wise to discount the leadership and steadying force that Tweet provided this season. Remember, she was really our only scoring option at the start of the year.
In my opinion, she and Mona are as big of losses as Amber Bland and BTJ were.

...In my opinion, she and Mona are as big of losses as Amber Bland and BTJ were. IMO, the key point here is that the program reloads vs. rebuild.

In my opinion, she and Mona are as big of losses as Amber Bland and BTJ were. not saying mona and tweet aren't big losses, without question they definitely are. but in ab and btj, we loss 2 "first team" all meac'ers and one being meac "poy". they were our two leading scorers and our two "go to" players. this season, we only returned 1 "proven" go to player and "consistent" double figure scorer in tweet. next season we'll return 2 "proven" go to players and "consistent" double figure scorers in sams and calvin. this season we had to wait and see how ab and btj's production would be replaced. we didn't find out for sure until around january. next season, we'll already know who can replace tweet and mona's production. it'll be calvin and sams. we'll still have to go through a few minor growing pains to incorporate the new players. but this team has already proven they can still compete when tweet and/or mona goes down. we never had to experience having ab and btj go down. every year we will lose a couple of key players. but i'm just very comfortable knowing where our leadership will come from next season and our supporting cast should improve as well. i think gorham will be a rebounding machine next year and if deblanc comes back 100%, we'll have the absolute best front court in the meac by far. it won't even be close! you've got to remember, we never did see the true deblanc this year. don't forget she was a starter as a freshman. i just think we'll have fewer question marks going into next season than we did this season. we've played entire games without tweet and/or mona this year and we still won. so the ladies already know they still win without them next season...

I really wish Reisha Bullock has one more year of eligibility left.
Who is going to be a true ball handler on this team next year besides Calvin?

Here, I'll say it: Jaleesa is going to have to drop some weight and get in better shape this offseason.
It was bittersweet to see how she performed against Miami, considering that she did not have that same impact for the majority of the season. She has the talent to be first team All MEAC, but does she have the work ethic?
That will be the question.

If she can duplcate that BTJ transformation, watch out.
