if i'm not mistaken, division 1 athletes get 4 years of eligibility regardless to their age or the number of years in college. i don't understand why bullock wouldn't be eligible next season if her academics are acceptable. i'm sure coach bibbs didn't recruit her with the understanding that she'd only be eligible 1 year.
as long as she hasn't used her 4th year of eligibility, i don't see why she would be ineligible to play next season. my daughter was awarded a medical redshirt in her senior season after tearing her acl even though she played in a game or two that year. her 4th year of eligibility was fully restored the following year despite the fact that she was a graduate student...

this postseason performance just might give bibbs the leverage to bring in a monster recruiting class. don't be surprised come november she has her best class since coaching at a&t. and that says a lot considering the classes she's already brought in... I agree. That's saying alot.

We need an experienced ball handler to complement Amber next season. I don't know much about the incoming freshman Mosley but I think she is more of a scorer than a true point. We are losing Alford, Tweet and Bullock (I guess), so that means we don't currently have a ball handler on the roster who can come in and back up Calvin. I would love to see us bring in a JUCO transfer who could instantly take over the point guard role and allow us to move AC to the 2 guard spot. Amber is a point. Moving her would be a mistake in my opinion. Don't underestimate Berry's development as a scoring option next year.

Wake Forest gave Amber fits in the second half when they were pressing us full court. Bibbs had to switch Amber to the 2 guard and let Wudi bring the ball up.
Against UNCC, Bibbs had to play Wudi, Amber and Tweet all at the same time when the 49ers starting pressing, just so we could get the ball to half court.
Ball handling (and turnovers) is what scares me the most about this team right now.

Amber is a great point but at 5-7 she can sometimes be overmatched with bigger people when she is handling the ball like against Wake but swing her to the two spot, slow the tempo slightly and the bigs have much tougher time trying to match up with her speed and outside shot. Once that happened the flood gates opened.
Its called recognition and making key play by play adjustments to counter your opponent's move. Wake had no answer for the counter that Bibbs made.
That's coaching.

The only problem with Amber at the 2 is that she might be a defensive liability and you'll be losing a potential rebounder.
I think it's natural to start her at the point, but it's nice to also have the option of moving her to the 2 at times to exploit certain matchups. However you still need to find another primary ball handler in order to do that.
