Just got back. That was an incredible game. Charlotte didn't go down easy ... but our girls would not be denied.
In the end the great game-planning of Coach Bibbs and some inspired play by Murdaugh, Tweet, Sams and Amber Calvin made the difference.
It's a great day to be an Aggie!

Just Getting In Myself...Great Game Lady Aggies. Although It was a bit too close for comfort at some points but i guess you gotta take 'em how you get 'em...lol
Great Showing By The Pep Band Also...anyone else notice that when Our band would play...Charlotte's Band Would pull out their cameras to record? LOL...that gave me a chuckle...
Anyways shoutouts to Our AD Brown, Chancellor Martin, PJ, and who i thought was thrilla (maybe, possibly)...all folks i ended up spotting in the crowd today.
Sidenote: Halton Arena...I was impressed with that facility...I felt close to the action like in Corbett (maybe it was the covered top section), but had plenty of amenities that i would like when/if we get our convocation center built...

49ers Falls To North Carolina A&T In WNIT 2nd Round CHARLOTTE, NC - Shannon McCallum, Kendria Holmes and Aysha Jones scored in double-figures but it was not enough as the Charlotte 49ers (18-14) saw their season end with a 79-70 loss to the North Carolina A&T Aggies (23-10) in the second round of the WNIT. The loss snapped the 49ers' 13-game home winning streak. "North Carolina A&T's guards were the difference today," Charlotte coach Karen Aston said. "They were more aggressive than we were today. I am proud that our team regrouped after a tough start to the season to reach the second round of the WNIT." McCallum recorded her sixth 20-point scoring game of the season with a team game-high 20 points. McCallum connected on 10 free throws in the game. Holmes recorded her 12th double-figure scoring game of the season with 17 points. Jones recorded her 52nd career double-figure scoring game with 10 points. In the first half, Charlotte behind baskets from Floyd, Jones and McCallum jumped out to an early 6-0 lead. The Aggies went on a 9-0 run over the next minute behind the three-point shooting of Ta'Wuana Cook and Amber Calvin. North Carolina A&T maintained their lead for the next six minutes until a basket by Hailey at the 10:41 mark gave the 49ers a 16-15 lead. Charlotte pushed their lead to five points, 22-17, when Jaquaria Forney scored with 8:36 left in the first half. With the 49ers leading 24-19 at the 7:12 mark, the Aggies scored five straight points tying the score for the third time at 24 at the 5:07 mark. Charlotte regained the lead behind consecutive baskets by McCallum and Jones. With the 49ers leading 30-26 with 2:33 left in the first half, North Carolina A&T scored nine of the first half's final 11 points taking a 35-32 lead at the half. North Carolina A&T pushed their lead to eight points, 41-33, just a minute and half into the second half. Charlotte went on a 10-4 run capped off by a Holmes three cutting North Carolina A&T's lead to 45-43 at the 15:32 mark. The Aggies answered the 49ers run with a 14-5 run over the next four minutes pushing their lead to 59-48 with 11:41 left in the second half. With North Carolina A&T leading, 69-59, at the 3:58 mark, the 49ers went on an 8-0 run over the next two minutes cutting the Aggies lead to 69-67 when McCallum scored with 2:06 left in the game. Holmes and Spriggs also scored during the 49ers run. North Carolina A&T's Amber Calvin stopped the 49ers run with a jump shot from the foul line with 1:39 left on the clock. Charlotte was never able to get any closer as North Carolina A&T knocked down five free throws in the final 35 seconds closing out their win.

I saw the postgame interview. She was hurt. I mean devastated.
I also heard on their message board that when they initially heard they were playing us again they were excited about getting revenge.
Oh well. Not this year. ;D

Miami Downed Florida in WNIT Second Round, 77-64
CORAL GABLES – The 2009-10 University of Miami women’s basketball team became the first team in program history to win consecutive postseason games, when it defeated the Florida Gators, 77-64, Sunday afternoon in the second round of the WNIT at the BankUnited Center.
The Hurricanes (19-13) trailed only once, when the score was 7-5 in the game’s opening minutes, on their way to a dominating performance against the Gators (14-17).
For the second straight game, sophomore Shenise Johnson led all scorers with 19 points. The First Team All-ACC performer also grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the season. The super sophomore was only two assists shy of a triple-double as she dished out a game-high eight.
Seniors Charmaine Clark and Diane Barnes continued their inspired play as they scored 16 and 13 points respectively. Clark’s scoring output was the most since she dropped 17 on Cal State Bakersfield in the second game of the season. Barnes added eight rebounds, two short of her eighth double-double.
The Hurricanes held a 32-21 lead at the break and had their defense to thank for it. Katie Meier’s squad, pressured Florida into 13 first half turnovers and a lowly 29.2 shooting percentage.
