Oleschool is right. She called me afterward. Class Man, straight Class.
I cant wait for the bid, and I don't know if there will be a 'send-off', but this team is still no joke.
Groove, I'm with you.

What's your beef? Spell it out! ??Beef...it's not a BEEF, if Don Corbett won Conference CHAMPIONSHIP(i.e. MEAC TOURNAMENT)more than 33% of the time when he won the Regular Season championship...IS IT ;D You can't throw that out and not make a point with it. That's a cop out. Even so, the bar is greater in my mind. Comparisons to Corbett are fine but he went to the NCAA tournament nine times without a victory. A&T must win in postseason non-conference play whether it be the NCAA or the NIT. Until that happens they've both(Corbett/Bibbs) fallen short. The prize is different. Winning in the non-conference postseason get the programs exposure. Exposure helps recruit better players. Better players win. Winning gets you deeper into the post-season which gets better players which helps you to win more and the cycle continues. I'd trade an MEAC tournament championship for a Post-Season NIT Championship anyday. I'm not saying I expect that to happen this year, but I am saying the conference tournament isn't the be all end all anymore. Interestingly enough last night Bobby Knight said he thinks post season conference tournaments should be done away with across the board.

Wow oleschool. Your honesty is refreshing. The ladies have had a great run, but there were some reasons for serious concerns this this year. One of which was internal strife at times. Furthermore, over the last 3 years, the ladies have just out-talented people. Period. The same 1 or 2 sets were run every single game, with the exception of the attempt to run a facet of the triangle at the beginning of this season. We just had more heat. Hampton just figured it out. I don't know if I'm ready to say it's a changing of the guard just yet. I saw a Murray signing in Greenville (regionals) and she's the real deal. If Amber and Berry continue to get better and some of the new recruits pan out, they might be able to out talent the league some more. I think it would be responsible, however, for the fan base to realize that BTJ, Bland, and Tweet aint coming through that door any more. But I'm like you oleschool, I am really looking forward to see what the performance will be like in the WNIT! aahhbigboy, obviously, i'm biased when it comes to aggie athletics and i have no problem admitting that. but i try to be as objective as i can. lady aggie basketball is my pride and joy, but i honestly try to call it the way i see it and not the way i want to see it. i'm not close enough to the team to see day to day relations internally. but obviously something went wrong towards the end of the season. we loss 3 of our last 7 meac games! and for a bibbs coached lady aggies team, that's virtually unheard of! so you may be onto something, i don't know. but i sure hope we can get it back together. over the last 3 years, i have never seen another meac team literally rip us apart like hampton did. even when coppin state had the dynamic duo, rashida suber and shalamar oakley, they didn't do it. again, i'm just being objective and honest. hampton's guards were getting to the cup off the dribble "at will" against us. our guards looked like they had lead in their shoes. we simply couldn't keep hampton's guards in front of us! our ladies need to find that hunger and intensity again because it was really lacking towards the end of the season... I don't want to get censored but I'm pretty close to that program in a couple of different ways. That is why, factually, I really haven't ever been refuted when it comes to behind the scenes stuff. I don't have to get into it but everybody did see what happened on the bench. That's just a little bit though. We have the top talent but not necessarily the best schemes or conditioning. So the door is kinda left open to get us sometimes. As far as Suber and crew in the past, it was just that BTJ and Bland were so dominant and were so much better than what this conference has EVER seen, many have simply been spoiled. That's all. Also, don't discount the fact that our ladies are the stars of the athletic dept. All they've heard was how good they are and were and sometimes, that sets you up for a letdown. All Bibbs has to do is at least go .500 for the rest of her career, and from what I can see up here, she'll surpass Corbett and Hayes in perception of greatness. Lets just hope we can continue to get great talent. It's not every year that a BTJ, Bland, Tweet, Sams, Calvin, and Berry can be brought into an HBCU program.

Good observation and post, The freshman (Calvin) lead the way in the first Meac tournament game(focus) she's good, but where were the Seniors? I'm oleschool, but give me a chance to play in the NCAA tournament by beating teams I have beat all season, I would need to be carried off the floor, and they would have been mopping up what was left of me!

That's what I'm saying in my previous post! With that match up at that venue, the MEAC tournament is now past history. Let's get ready for the Demon Deacons!

Making noise in the WNIT heals wounds quickly.....to beat both WF and UNCC is quite an accomplishment....I guess the ladies will be OK this year and next also....the changing of the guard has begun!

Actually our schemes and conditioning was what helped up beat both Wake and Charlotte.
We shut down both their offenses and had an answer for the pressure they threw at us. Our girls were much quicker up and down the court than both Wake and Charlotte. Their bigs could not keep up with our bigs and they had no idea how well Sams and Mona could handle the ball in the open court.
