“But I truly believe when the dike opens up, it’s really going to open up. My men played well. They played great defense. We turned them over. We stole the ball. But right now we’re in a scoring funk, and it’s grown to be a little larger than it needs to be" Did he actually just say that? No words for this guy. If the only thing you believe in is the 3 point shot then.............oh f'it. I agree. So eventually when this team goes 15 for 30 from the arc and we win "that game" it will make up for the other 8 games we lost by shooting terribly

bluehaze, that exactly the words i was looking for. Only fools and stubborn people seem to be oblivious to the 8 or 9 very bad losses doing it "their "way. They keep saying stuff like, "well if we had just did this then my idea would have worked". Dont he realize that good hard defense means you get tired. Tired=tired legs......tired legs=off jumpers......
That's why we can play good on defense and then cant score on offense cause we dont have any plays that make offense "easy".
i was watching Duke against UNC and you have to LOVE coach K. They shoot a lot of 3's also, but the difference is his player's off-the-ball movement. They move so much that you dont know where the shot is going to come from. In a stark contrast, you can see the shot coming a mile away with Eaves offense.
Please do something before basketball dwindles down to nothing. Black people already dont really support basketball to tough(at any school). Keep this up and it will be a wrap.

Eaves sounds like one of those degenerate gamblers in Las Vegas who keeps doubling down after big losses, thinking that their number will eventually come up on the next roll.

Yep
And dont be suprised if he catches that double down hand against Morgan in Baltimore. But on the same token we very well could lose the play-in game to the tournament.
Bottom line with this strategy its almost impossible to win more than two games in a row. Look at our results we have only won two games in a row once this year and one of those started with a victory over David and somebody!

Also based on this strategy, what are our chances of beating Hampton tonight?

Probably just as good as any other night. Its been said a 100 times we live and die by the three point shot. We get hot behind the arc we win.
Nobody follows this strategy because its impossible to be consistant.
At the begining of the season I was fully behind the Coach. Yea he said they were going to shot 40 threes per game if possible. I thought that just meant we were going to rely more on the three point shot not abandoned all other forms of offense.

Yeah frisco...I was kinda supporting Eaves at the beginning of the season too. I figured that he had compared his talent to the rest of the MEAC and developed this offense using a "realistic" coaching strategy. I guess I was wrong. He makes it way to easy for teams to defend and score against us!

Now that WHEELER has GOOD/SOLID volleyball;Wbball;track;f'ball coaches...he can set out to do THE SAME for MEN'S BASKETBALL@end of season!!!!(just so he understands ... ABH,i.e. ANYBODY BUT c.HUNTER)Mr. Eaves will be here for sometime to come. Period!!! He leaves, only if the AD is no longer at A&T, and I doubt if that will happen. I think that the university family like the AD. And the AD has a lot of confidence in Eaves' ability. ABH', why not 'ABH&E'; that is Anybody But Hunter and Eaves and IMO, the alumni and fan base has lost confidence in Eaves' brand of ball. This is evident by the reduced fan support. I also believe (and hope) Wheeler will make a statement at the end of the season regarding the direction of our Men's Basketball program.
