Unfortuanely there is a drastic difference in the shape we are in vs. LSU. Bottom line thats the difference in the game.

thank gawd its over
75-33 Final
It wasnt the worst beating LSU has handed out this year, given that they have beaten teams 93-31 and 92-19. This is a sobering experience, letting us know that we have a lot of work to do to get to the next level.
Let's rest up, drink a little egg nog, and get ready for Iowa State after x-mas

And to add insult to Smalley's injury, I'm hearing Bullock is ineligible. Grades.
Man ol man.

No, it's really not. We're talking about LSU with Van Chancellor coaching (who won WNBA titles). A few things stood out to me. 1) The talent gap is tremendous. All twelve on the LSU squad could ball. Take AB and BTJ, add a few inches to some and subtract a few from others and you have LSU's team. 2) We were actually not taking bad shots but every shot had a hand in the face. 3) Our ladies lost it mentally when early shots were missed, Tweet couldn't get free to even take a shot, we were all of a sudden down 15-4. 4) No one would take an outside shot other than the freshman Berry but she was off. 5) Murdaugh was tentative and Sams just struggled with being physically out of control offensively and with her confidence. 6) Tweet has to be aggressive when everybody else is not. She only took two shots in the first half. 7) Our man-to-man defense wasn't too bad for the first 10 minutes, we just couldn't make a shot, layup or otherwise. 8) Calvin needs to continue to work on her handle. 9) We lost by 20 points less than we did three years ago but 20 points more than we would have last year.

Well I guess we learned a lot from that whipping. We have to get ready for FAMU on 01/09/10. They are really hyped from having beaten 2 SEC teams.

Very embarrassing. Not other way to call it.
I didn't get a chance to follow the game live last night, but we should have competed better against LSU.
Back to the drawing board.

Was Smalley carried off the floor (ie stretcher)....or was she helped (ie being assisted while holding the leg up)? That Sister is the heart & soul of the team. I hope that it is not too bad.
I was surprised by the score. Besides, I'm sure we saw some of their game vs HB after we played. LSU must have some ballers outright, in order to lace us like this. FSU could not hamper us like this. I think that we will bounce back.

The girls are gonna have to circle the wagons after a loss like this and make sure it never happens again.
It appears that fast-tempo win against LLU the night before may have affected our team stamina. But if you read Bibbs comments, she was not really pleased with how her team played even in the LLU game.

The ladies' mindset just wasn't right. But conditioning has always been a problem with us. That was being said last year.
