Evans vs. Eaves. Beatdowns looking to bounce back from the Auburn loss and send an early statement to the rest of the conference.
I'm looking for a clean sweep on Saturday.
Men by 10. Lady Aggies by 30.

the ladies get a well deserved break. but the lady spartans aren't as bad as they were last year, they are improved. i'm one who does not believe in "underestimating" any opponents. for me, its go hard 100% of the time regardless of the opponent. remember, last year our ladies struggled with nsu and wssu (two virtually winless teams) until after halftime. so i wouldn't let my guards down if i'm the lady aggies, especially on the road. nonetheless, lady aggies by 15.
as far as the guys go, i think we'll play a competitive game. but i've been to the last two games we've played at nsu and we looked horrible both times. my heart says we'll win this game, but my brains says we won't. spartans by 10...

thanks for the link, aggie e. based on that article, i may have to revise my men's prediction. i didn't realize that nsu's transfers weren't eligible yet. looks like we may luck out because they're not scheduled to join the lineup until december 15. the article also indicated that their point guard is also out with an injury. we may be catching them at the right time. but they still have deloatch who can easily put up 25 or more points. hmmm? this is a golden opportunity to get a win on the road against a team that we probably wouldn't win against "on the road" otherwise. i'm still reluctant to predict we'll win but i've got to think we'll have an advantage this weekend...

This should be an interesting game oleschool...I think that we should definitely have an advantage on the boards. If we can just contain Deloatch and hit our shots we should be okay. This is the time to get a W on NSU.

This is the time to get a W on NSU. A&T can't contain Deloatch and they shouldn't worry about Deloatch. It is the other NSU guys that the Aggies must stop. Deloatch can score 25 to 35 points and NSU can still lose by 10 points if the Aggies can hold the other players under double figures or letting no more than one other player into a double figure of about 10 pts.

I kinda see your point Jazz...but you still have to make Deloatch work for his shots. He's the catalyst for NSU on offense and defense. My main concern is us missing a lot of threes and have NSU breaking the other way for easy scores.

i think the key to the game will come down to "rebounding". if we have the size advantage, we need to make sure nsu only gets 1 shot at the basket. and on the other end, we need offensive rebound put backs. that's one of the things that i've noticed that coach bibbs places a lot of emphasis on. and when you think about it, rebounds can easily determine the outcome of the game!
i mean i haven't checked, but i wouldn't be surprised if statistically the team that wins the rebound and turnover battle, generally also wins the game...

dayum! they're calling for mixed rain and snow in the dc and norfolk areas tomorrow. it may just preclude me from making the trip to the nsu game. but i have a 4 wheel drive and as long as the temperatures remain above 32, i'm still gonna make the trip. now that's what i call a real diehard aggie! well, on second thought, maybe i shouldn't have used the term diehard...

Oleschool, I'm going to make the trip from the Bull City. I thought about it too.
I think that A&T will leave 2-0. It will be tough. NSU is hungry. I think that Eaves knows how to contain Deloach. At least we frustrated him in Corbett last year. ( And we gave some hard fouls). I can see it now, Him double -clutching a shot over his man and here comes Coleman!
I wish that I could remember that night spot off of Military hwy. I will need to celebrate somewhere...lol any tips?

Thanks E. I'm set now. I remember going to NSU last year. I saw Bobby Dandridge sitting in the stands. And the Aggie contengent woke up NSU. They saw the Aggies enjoying the game & had to start cheering with that ' how dare they come in here with that Aggie Pride sh**' motive. It was a reactive cheer. It was funny how it developed before my eyes. Its never easy. BTW here is the audio link: www.nsuspartans.com/sports/2007/10/25/GEN_1025070834.aspx?tab=liveaudio
