Desperate times call for desperate measures. Since the A&T athletic department seems unwilling to promote the biggest women's basketball ever scheduled in Corbett Sports Center, it is up to us diehard fans to get the word out. I have gone and created a revised flyer to promote this contest. I took out the Beatdowns and Goliath references so not to confuse the casual fans. I also added that admission is free.www.ncatdawgpound.com/ladyaggies_vs_auburn_flyer.pdfIf you have access to a printer, please download this flyer and print out a few copies. Pass them out to your family and friends during the Thanksgiving holiday, at your barber shop/beauty salon ... and maybe even at your church on Sunday. The game is free so everybody in town should make an effort to attend. Let's show the defending MEAC champions how much we support them in their first home game of the 2009-10 season. Aggie Pride.

Let's please get this out to all the girls HS teams in the area. A great recruiting opportunity for the Lady Aggies, and a big night for attendence.

I just know the pep band better be in attendance Tuesday night.
This game has been on the schedule since last year and there are no more football games to practice for. This is the biggest home women's basketball game in the history of the school. We need to have the same game operations that we have for a regular men's game.

I found a halfway decent contact list of local prep athletic directors. www.gcsnc.com/hr/vacancies/athletics.htmI am going to contact each of them about the free game on Tuesday and ask them to spread the word to their respective students and parents.

I'm also gonna need somebody to print out a bunch of fliers and take them to Mount Zion Baptist Church on Sunday.
I believe the preacher there is an A&T graduate so he won't mind.

Also, I need someone to volunteer to go door-to-door around Claremont, Smith Homes, and the Hampton Homes neighborhoods.
Just because those kids live in the projects doesn't mean that they wouldn't like to attend a free women's college basketball game. It might inspire them to want to enroll at A&T one day.
This game is exactly what Bush had in mind when he said No Child Left Behind.

Someone said they actually heard a radio ad this weekend about the Auburn game.
I didn't personally hear it and I'm not sure what station it ran on, but hopefully it will cause some more fans to come out tomorrow night.

Who is going to Claremont this afternoon?
Oh, and we need to hit up Ray Warren too.

Well, despite being in Iowa. I'm throwing my support behind this through twitter and facebook. I think every bit of advertisement works!

Footnote: On Nov 6 2009, the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing resigned from the Athletic Department staff. And that explains why they can't even make mention of the game on the school's official website? Not even a banner ad? Not even a blurb under the "announcements" section of ncataggies.com?
