How in the hell is UNCW hosting a 7on7 passing league right now as I type this and they DONT even have a football program.
Step it up A&T. I know this staff is new, so I will cut them a break this year, but please host a passing league tournament next year, so we can show of our facilities. they aren't the best, but they close to the best in the MEAC.
Thank you, that is all.

And once you get the league set up, I would love to help promote it ... for free.

That is where our fundraising committee can really impact recruiting by raising some capital for a summer high school football camp.

That is where our fundraising committee can really impact recruiting by raising some capital for a summer high school football camp. Thats the glory of it. Teams and kids PAY to got to 7on7 camp. Its not much fundraising needed. You just need organization! Get the cafe involved so they serve lunch to players, have one dorm designated, and current football players and assistants ref'ing the games. It only needs to be 2 days. You have a price with boarding and one without.

Hold up ... this is starting to make too much sense and seem very uncomplicated.
Therefore, it will likely never happen at A&T.

OK. Check this out. Our two fundraisers so far have been for recruiting and summer school. Summer Sports Camps (if done right) may be able kill two birds with one stone. Some schools fill up June and July with camps. Plus it would be fun. Imagine a summer at A&T that looks like this: May week 4 - Youth Volleyball Camp May week 5 - High School Volleyball Camp May week 5 - Youth Baseball Camp June week 1 - High School Baseball Camp June week 1 - Girls Swimming Camp June week 2 - Softball Camp June week 2 - Cheerleading Camp June week 2 - Boys Youth Basketball Camp June week 3 - Boys High School Basketball Camp June week 3 - Speed and Strength Camp (Boys and Girls) June week 4 - Girls Youth Basketball Camp June week 4 - Girls High School Basketball Camp June week 4 - 7 on 7 Football Camp July week 2 - Youth Football Camp July week 2 - Tennis Camp If marketed correctly, at maturity that's more than $100,000 worth of camps each year. For the overnight camps, kids would love the opportunity to stay on a real college campus and parents would feel comfortable with our facilities. Net income from these camps could go into a fund for summer school for the athletes. Because the camps would be to enhance academics, more sponsors may be moved to get involved. In addition, sponsors would have the opportunity to add their logos to 600-800 camp T-shirts. BDF/Aggie Club could provide seed money, coordinate marketing, cultivate sponsorships, and provide volunteers while the individual coaches can structure the camps. Plus it would be fun. Aggie Sports Camps... coming Summer 2010.

The plan is great but some of them would have to double up. nchsaa won't let any off season practicing happen the first two weeks in june, exams and the last few weeks in may would have to be on the weekend so kids can focus on eoc's/g's and stuff. I coach at bartlett yancey high school, we went to a fellowship of christian athletes football camp last week that was great. Maybe we could work somthing out with FCA. I know I'd much rather go to greensboro than Gardner Webb or pembroke.

sounds great, but you would have to plan around track and field..sunday-thursday camps or weekends w/o track meets.
