Please do the honorable thing and resign. For whatever reasons this partnership just hasn't worked out. I'm sure that you would excel in the right situation but it's become painfully obvious this isn't it. I don't think anyone would think lesser of you if you put the welfare and concerns of your players first in this situation. Please do the right thing.

I don't know if I would be able to leave 165K on the table, knowing that I am the sole breadwinner in my household and that my wife has medical expenses.
It may be honorable to resign, but real life is not as easy as just hitting the reset button on the playstation.

Geez, I'm not asking him to leave without compensation. People resign all the time under pre-arranged agreements.
