I am shocked that there was only 8,200 for the Elon-A&T game. I was wondering if that is really true and when was the last time that A&T had under 10,000 for a home opener.
The funny thing is that we will probably have around 5-7 going to Norfolk on Sat.

Yeah, it's true. Wasn't nobody there. Probably won't be no 5 to 7 grand going to Norfolk either. Probably won't be 5 to 7 grand total at the Norfolk game.

It looked alittle sparse to start the game, but by halftime it was a decent crowd. 8,000 seems low to me.

I understand from a higher source that its not A&T that want the time early, it is Elon. It seems that the 200 to 500 fans do come do not want to get caught at A&T with the sun down. Also they are looking to see if it worth keeping the game as it is. when we play them its about the only sold out game they have. When they play us they bring only 200 to 500 fans. We can play Livingston College and get the same results. Maybe when Winston Salem State get in the MEAC they will take Elon Place.#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys

Actually, parents weekend and homecoming have drawn over capacity crowds at Elon, neither of which we've played host to you. But the A&T game does draw a large crowd at Rhodes.
I truthfully liked the game under the lights at Aggie Stadium in '00.....of course that's the last time we beat you! But we did have more than 500 fans this year. We usually only travel well to Furman and Hofstra, but I hear (haven't seen with my own eyes) that in the past few years we had a good many at Georgia Southern.
So do you guys think this series will continue until 2009 like it is contracted to be played?

There were at least 1500 Elon fans at the A&T game this year, maybe around 2000. They bused in students for goodness sakes.
You guys don't bring nearly as many as you say to our game either. Maybe 1500-3000, which is darn good. Very comparable to what App State brings.
Also, yes, the A&T is two of our top five games in the NEW STADIUM. That is 3 seasons of games and three BAD seasons. Plus our fans have turned out for games in numbers so it's not like you bring 6000 to our games to give us our only highly attended games (see ETSU, G-W, JC Smith, Georgia Southern, App).
