I say Cedric Byrd on one side, Derek Gould on the other and maybe Speedy in the slot playing the Wes Walker role.

Is Derek Gould the incoming Freshman WR from NJ? If so, he is good enough to start as a freshman. In that case, I'll have to agree with you on your 2 picks for starting WR's.

Welcome to the BDV.com, flash. I'm curious ... why do you think all the receivers suck? Have you seen Derek Gould's highlight video? I make my son watch it every night before he goes to bed.

You can always tell who the foreign infiltrators are....always digging for info and then slide in the occasional insult.

I watched tthe spring game and came away impressed with only one WR and that was the Dawson kid. Hes fast, run good routes n knows how 2 get open. None of the other WRs could get open. Byrd is decent.... need 2 get his speed up. Looks kinda slow to me. And yeah I watched the highlights ....still not impressed. Gould may develop into a good WR but i dont see him comin in and havin a instant impact.
So with that said i think the starters will be dawson and byrd....its gonna be another long season.

Dude, if you watched that Gould highligt video and honestly did not come away impressed, either you need a better high speed Internet connection ... or some lassick surgery.

I know it won't be Garth. Heard that he tore his ACL and had surgery on Tuesday. Kid got a long road ahead trying to get ready but I think end of August for JC Smith would be a best, best case senario.

it won't matter who are starters are unless and until our qb's and o-line get better. We could have Jerry Rice out there as a wide-out, but if Rex Grossman is thrwoing the passes with KC's o-line, it won't matter.

Two WR's that will be here in the fall that I have seen play are Tory Warren (Dudley) and McKinley Morning (Carver WS). They are both good WR and should get playing time. We also have Fernando White out of W. Charlotte coming in and he is suppose to be good also, at least from what I have heard from people that have seen him play.

Thats a lot of what should be pretty good wide outs. I disagree with the Jerry Rice comment. Jerry Rice was a Div1AA player. he didn't have Montana throwing him the rock then. Neither did T.O., and we see that it was all Moss in Minnesota. WR speed and size are huge factors in opening up the running game.

Giorgio Lawrance will more than likely be one of the starting WR's.

Monster, that's a fair statement, but the QB and O-line still had to be competant enough to allow the offense to function.
