Some might think that Fears has a better arm than Herb but herb is a far better athlete. Herb has not had a QB coach worth a damn since he's been at A&T and now he might just have someone to teach him the position. Herb knee is back to 100% and he has his speed back. I look for Herb to do some special things in this new spread offence. Herb did not look that good in the spring game but up until then he had looked damn good in all the practices that I witnessed. I'm going with Herb! True, I forgot about Herb's poor coaching. The question is, can that teaching be broken and then re-taught without resurfacing itself in crunch time.

You can't coach arm strength.
And no, I didn't forget about Herb's coaching. I just know that from what I saw Saturday, all things being equal, Fears has more upside and probably every bit as much time starting (albeit with a different team). They are both getting the same coach that actually can coach them. It’s not like Herb has been getting a head start on the tutelage. I like Herb, but like I said before you can just do more with Fears back there. And I’m sure J-Mack loves that.
All in all, it’s a good problem to have. It’d be a better problem if they were both stunning instead of both serviceable, but it’s a start. And let’s not forget Bloody Mu Psi’s own Shelton Morgan. He might pick it up better than both of them.
Given that Ferguson provides major running yards and is a real threat, the pressure will not be on the qbs to produce (so long as we don’t go down by 21 in the first quarter). Herb has a penchant for the occasional attempt to do too much with his arm that causes turnovers. I think unless he reins that in he will be at best the first option off the bench.

When herb throws a 50 yard TD against Johnson C Smith and then celebrates by doing the "spongebob squarepants" at mid-field, we will have the last laugh.

I am down.
We should get as many people involved as we can. We could put the basketball one to shame. Somebody get the band director to have the band play the electric slide right after the gam...
Wait, I forgot who the band director was. Forget it.

Count me out. I remember when everybody swore they were going to rush the field and take down the goal post after the FAMU game in 1999.
When I jumped over the guard rail and got on the field I looked back and it was just my two roommates with me.

Dooms you need to continue to sit with me. I am starting to rub off of you.
Thrilla clearly just like Bush you are out of touch of realty. You did not watch those two TD Fears made. You was talking to much. The Foot work and the accuracy something Herb knows nothing about.
Now Fobbs may start Herb but it want be because he is the most talented QB out there that can take us to the next level. Again if he want to base his 3 year career on this guy go right ahead. But he want get any sympathy from me if he gets fired.

No matter what Fears did in the spring game I still think Herb can be a winning QB for us. Herb was a winner in H.S. and I beleive he can do the same on the college level given the right coaches and player around him. I don't dought that Fears can be a good QB, matter of fact I hope he is great, especially if I am wrong about Herb.

I'm thinking it'll be the new kid Fears, unless Herb can show that his decision making in crunch time has come light years from what they were against NCCU and Howard. Didn't the OC bring him to A&T with him or was that the freshman QB?

You're thinking about Terrence Webb, the incoming freshman Qb from Alabama.

I was just thinking the same thing.
The Math just don't add up. HAHAHAHAH.
Thrilla it is not fair to put Terrence Webb until we see him play.
