Herb looked heads and tails better after the first scrimmage but Fears closed that gap on Sat. Fears has a better arm so I'll give him the nod at this point. Personally, I don't think either is all that good and I haven't seen any of the new guys yet so we will have to put this poll back up after summer camp.

Well.......At least that what some coach should have said.

Truthfully, at Howard he was playing against two walk-ons at corner. Plus, that was only one game. Heck, it was only one half. The Central game he spiraled the prettiest interception I’ve seen in a while.
Now I’m not down on Herb like the rest of the world is. But he has limitations and the previous coaching staff seemed intent on not playing to his strengths and trying to make him run plays he had no business running. I don’t know what J-Mack’s opinion is of him, but at the double secret spring game I saw Fears make throws that Herb cannot make. That opens up the playbook quite a bit.
Methinks the next time you see a qb doing a touchdown dance it will be to “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones.

He's no Herb. When the offense takes the field for the first time against Johnson C Smith, it will be Miller Time.

Some might think that Fears has a better arm than Herb but herb is a far better athlete. Herb has not had a QB coach worth a damn since he's been at A&T and now he might just have someone to teach him the position. Herb knee is back to 100% and he has his speed back. I look for Herb to do some special things in this new spread offence. Herb did not look that good in the spring game but up until then he had looked damn good in all the practices that I witnessed. I'm going with Herb!
