GREENSBORO, October 22, 2007 – The West Elmsley Street Wal-Mart Supercenter will be celebrating A&T Day Tuesday, October 23 at 5 p.m. The store will present the North Carolina A&T athletics department with a $1,000 check donation.
In addition, Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser), Frito Lay and the PepsiCo., will donate gifts and prizes at the event. Also as a part of the festivities, the Wal-Mart store will be introducing Coach’s Low Country Boil Seasoning. Product creator Joe Crosby is an Aggie alumnus and a former standout football player for the Aggies. A portion of the proceeds for each purchase of Coach’s Low Country Boil is divided equally among the academic and athletic funds at N.C. A&T.
One of N.C. A&T’s athletics fundraising organizations – The Aggie Club – will also be on hand to purchase Aggie paraphernalia from the Wal-Mart store. The Aggies are celebrating homecoming this week as the N.C. A&T football team takes on Bethune-Cookman at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at Aggie Stadium. Tickets are still available. Call the N.C. A&T ticket office at (336) 334-7749 for more information.
