Yes we won, the between the whistle stuff can be talked about on the game day thread. I dont want to see "Any win is a good win" on this thread. This truly needs it's own thread.
I have seen our team occasionally undisciplined during the game and be overly dumb after the whistle for over 20some years. But this year we have taken the boofonery to another level. Is it just me? Stop with the bafoonery. You are embarrassing yourselves and your university. Have some pride and grow the hell up.
And understand, This applies to the coaching staff as well. I've seen staffs at pop Warner that demand more pride and discipline than what's being allowed here. You don't see it at any championship level of play. Damn sure not the pros, not at top 20 FBS, nor FCS, and not at Div 2 top 10. Please stop embarrassing OUR school.

At a certain point, it seemed the staff was relieved to have won a game and didn’t let the discipline issues affect the mood at the moment. They gotta clean that up quickly, however. Bryant knows they gotta shut down 33 and our pass D is putrid. Who GAS about running the football when the secondary is Swiss cheese. No lead is ever safe with us. Fields still have over 300 yards passing with 4 TDs. Also, we likely lost our 2 best QBs for multiple games. That’s going to be a problem they’ll have to overcome.

Washington will never be able to create a culture of discipline in this program. He is not wired that way. Discipline is probably not on the top 10 list of things that he deems to be important to winning championships.
He can talk all he wants about discipline in press conferences, but the things that you allow to constantly happen are a true reflection of your core values.
Keep in mind, Washington is about 5 foot 8 and made it to the NFL. You dont accomplish that by being soft and backing down from any challenge whatsoever. He probably believes deep down inside that a good football player must have an edge to themselves in order to be successful. That is probably why he really doesn't mind when his guys are chirping out on the field. He probably sees his younger self in them in those moments.
Hilton will just have to find a way on his own to create more team discipline. Most likely through hiring more support staff to oversee the little things that Washington is continually allowing to slide.

That is absolutely not the AD’s job. It would also completely undermine the coaching staff.
I’m barely 5’8” my damn self but I can see the difference between a little talk and acting like the word nobody wants to see here but everybody here knows we were acting like.
When you represent the largest hbcu in the nation in a pwc conference the last thing you should ever be doing is CONFIRMING NEGATIVE STEREOTYPES. Yet we do it with almost every aspect of our game. The only difference is we have a strong kicking game.
It’s incredibly disheartening and disappointing. I cannot get the images of the running up to people after every play to say something out of my head. It felt like seeing fellow Aggies set the whole race back 100 years.

If we didn't learn about discipline after facing NDSU and seeing how they basically ignored us after every play, we will never learn it.

Hell, should’ve been learned from the Broadway years by the remaining staff. Play disciplined, you win. Talent can easily kill itself. We’re in for a long season.

The look on the refs face sometimes was like, "For the love of god will yall please stop talking so damn much after the play. I could throw a flag every other play, but I need this game to move along."

If we didn't learn about discipline after facing NDSU and seeing how they basically ignored us after every play, we will never learn it. Add 2018 & 2019 to that pot as well. Losing the same games twice was very large telling of the sheer lack of integrity

The look on the refs face sometimes was like, "For the love of god will yall please stop talking so damn much after the play. I could throw a flag every other play, but I need this game to move along." It boiled down to exactly that: Game flow. Otherwise we’d have been there until 2am if they called everything they could’ve. Saw Roberts get helmet to helmet to talk sh*t to their punter after blocking the punt (even though it was called back and he knew it) while standing DIRECTLY BESIDE THE REF…AFTER Warren had been ejected. Also after Warren had been ejected, King is doing the Superman shirt pull at midfield then taking off for the end zone to celebrate like they’re in the NFL where that’s allowed. Those incidents were after both sides had been warned and ejected.

It all comes down to how much Earl Hilton is willing to allow.

This can all be fixed, it just take complete dedication to fixing it. Nothing wrong with celebrating, but celebrate with your teammates. I’m sure that we have a target on our backs from the refs because of notes that they have or just game planning. The same way that you approach a player for fumbling, throwing interceptions, you should kick their behind when they dumbly work against us while drawing attention to themselves.
Just like the refs took action by calling a penalty on both teams, coaches have to approach this issue very similar or the same.
