Didn't we get reminded yesterday in the Celebration Bowl that not all former pro athletes can win championships. Let JR enjoy his college experience and let's hire a head coaches that can actually coach.

True that but he could conduct a camp in the summer in Moore Gym for the team along with midnight basketball in windsor Center for some of our wayward youth. find and get some of that grant money for this effort. Just a thought cause we do do need a real men and women basketball coaches.

Just a thought cause we do do need a real men and women basketball coaches. It would never hurt to ask him . Has Jones reached out to him at all ? I don't know as I am not on social media. It should be obvious that a major change in the direction of the programs are needed a major overhaul because actually we were/are a basketball school with a football team from yesteryear. As I view the social costs among our youth it is clear to me that a renewal in our cultural relativism is paramount if we are to survive. Juvenile delinquency within our community must be addressed in all aspects wholistically. To be continually denied participation in society is a recipe for tomorrow's society's disruptors. While some will dis miss this as the rantings of a silly out of touch mad man I argue from the vantage point of one who is sincere and knows the existential reality of being a black male in todays' reality despite those gatekeepers that proclaim racism is a thing of the past. I don't want Rona anymore than anyone on this platform; but I believe that we must have an intelligent discussion on this matter due the the ugly reality of new wave of infection which threatens the economy and the scientific data which speaks to the ineffectiveness of vaccination. I have just review a copy of Nature Magazine which is worth some of your viewing. I chose not to cite it for reasons due to my own prerogative.

Yet, there are a number of colleges with ex NBA players in coaching positions and are successful. So, what's your point?

Yet, there are a number of colleges with ex NBA players in coaching positions and are successful. So, what's your point? my point is that being a former nba player with knowledge and contacts "alone" is not what makes a college coach successful. first of all, he'd have to "want" to be a coach and its not clear that "jr" wants to be a coach. secondly, he lacks "experience". thirdly, what proof is there that he can "recruit"? juan dixon has an nba background and also won a d1 national championship at the university of maryland, yet he hasn't even come close to winning an meac championship at coppin state. just because a guy is a former nba player doesn't "automatically" make him an ideal candidate to become a division 1 college basketball coach. butch beard was also a former nba player and a former nba "head coach" for the nets, yet he didn't make a difference as head coach at howard and morgan state...

JUST ASKING!! jerry eaves was also a former nba player with lots of contacts and knowledge, how did that work out for us? If you attended any functions or events in which Eaves spoke, he told everyone that he is a 500 ball coach, then like now it’s on the AD and BOT. We fans have to stop beating our heads, we are seeing what we are seeing, it’s real, the students see it and are commenting on social media, we are not good in basketball we have talent, but we don’t have next level coaches. The BSC has a goal and expectation as a conference, we have played so far below that mandate for so many years, I frankly don’t know if we can or want to meet it, but who am I. CHECK THIS OUT! We didn’t need The Big South to set this standard for us! Right action normally bring right results, the root is the fruit!
