Prior to this season, the A&T football program won four HBCU national championships in five years.
Coach Washington himself had the best two-year start of any football coach in A&T history - winning 19 games.
Therefore, what should be the appropriate response from our fanbase now that Washington and company have suffered only their first losing season since 2011?

don't know about "all" a&t fans, but relative to bdv posters? the answer to your question is "yes" and "yes", especially the second "yes"...

After this season, the fan base should demand changes to the staff in terms of assistant coaches....major weakness

A&T fans are loyal to the institution not a man or group of individuals
A&T fans understand that the embarrassing display of conduct by our players and lack of preparation reflect badly upon the institution which is our #1 concern.
Just like the military pledged protect and defend the constitution of the untied states against all enemies foreign and domestic
The military isn’t loyal to a person

I don't think it's disloyal or unappreciative...sometimes people on the outside can see what you can't on the inside. I think that's what's happening with the program. We as a fanbase don't want to see what Washington has achieved get tainted in less than a season or two and he is not far from that very thing. Thus, you see the outpouring of concern. Washington has a laid back demeanor and the fanbase doesn't really know how to take that in times of adversity. AND looking at the last outing of the team, the last thing he needed to be was laid back, he needed to have a sense of urgency. The fanbase wants to see that sense of urgency...that's the tough love part of it because, I'm sure no one wants Washington to fail. But, if he doesn't show that sense of urgency, he surely will fail.

I don't think so. If the team is losing as a result of superior competition, then there should be support and loyalty from fans. However, when coaching staff repeatedly fail to demand proper behavior from players, then that's a major problem! Some of this same CRAP has been going on for years under Washington. Think how we must look to our new competition when we show a total lack of discipline by a number of our players. I could go on and on but there's no need. If coach Broadway refused to tolerate that mess, if coach PRIME at JSU refuses to tolerate it, then why should we? Acting like thugs and idiots makes us look really bad to our competition, and we have already garnered well deserved disrespect as clowns willing to fight or bully if they can't win. Whatever some on this board may think, I do support, and am loyal to NC A&T, but not things so elementary as player and staff discipline and decency.

It is not disloyal to have an expectation of excellence in everything we do. Being at our best does not automatically mean we will always prevail but what we got this year was a demonstration of complacency and living off the past. If you are not moving forward you are going backward. As far as being unappreciative, I don't see that as the case at all. When you set a standard you expect that standard to be met. We came nowhere close to that established standard this season.

Do Billionaires get tired of making money, look to the market for your answer, and to the College GRIDIRON for the other, Alabama is not satisfied Aggieland is growing, how do we feed this new monster? Give us a smaller trophy cabinet and we might shut up!

On a real tip, this is business more so for the University, and both for the fans and Alumni. I remember when it hurt to go out to eat during A&T’s lousy athletic years, I remember how I have not blinked to the cost of following our sports to support their play, we paid for those trophy’s, it’s not personal, it’s business any good businessman would understand this or he wouldn’t take so much money to do it, it would be a gift if love, ask him to do it for free and we might address some budget issues or hire better basketball Coaches. We win we party and cumbaya, we lose we need academic answers that be understood! How do you go from day to night in one season and not see it coming( sleeping) on the clock no no no no no!

BDV should stop watching the hiring of these other coaches and getting jealous of it all.
Jealousy and envy aren't good to have on one's spirit.
On the other hand, it's okay to express displeasure with the results from the now previous season and let the school know that you expect to see better results next year.
We're Aggies at the end of the day. We (typically) achieve great goals in everything Aggies do as the school produces renowned individuals dedicated to excellence. So it's understandable why expectations are high. We just have to be realistic regarding our high expectations.
We should also ask if there's anything that the program needs that we can financially support in order to help see better results.

This is not about resources, the losses and dysfunction are coaching issues starting and ending with Washington. If he had an extra $1M the players would have still tried to fight GW players at their bus. The AD would have still had to come on the field at CSU to stop our players from getting into it with the opposing team He would have still played an injured running back We would have still led the league in penalties
