Yeah man. My daughter is 9. About to hit 10 in February. 8 is when she began to fall out of love with toys, but kids trend differently. My daughter LOVES reading, fashion/clothes, LEGO, and tech stuff. She's getting a new scooter for Christmas and a pair of skates. So depending on your niece tastes, maybe something in those areas will help. Probably best to just straight up ask her parents what she wants or needs.

When my daughter made the transition from toys to accessorizing and other girly ways . I gave her a debit card with a set amount of $150 and we went shopping and she had to stay with in the $150 limit on the card . It taught her how to manage your money and to not go over her budget. That was my Christmas gift to her .
